Built-in Tube Screamer circuit injects classic stompbox distortion and drive into your amp

The TSA30H tube amp head gives you the sound of real TS9 Tube Screamer distortion/overdrive pedal built right into its preamp section. Why put a tube-style distortion effect in a real tube amp? Actually, the ultra-popular Ibanez TS9 Tube Screamer is one of the few distortion stompboxes you'll find in front of tube amp stacks played by major-league guitarists. That's because it sounds great and does a phenomenal job of pushing tube amps past the breakup point. Add to that a built-in 6dB boost switch, and you can instantly launch the TSA30H's Tube Screamer tone into high gear for even more classic overdrive goodness.

This fully loaded 30-watt tube amp gives you tons of control over your sound

Ibanez went to great lengths to make their TSA30H the kind of flexible amplifier head any serious guitarist could appreciate. That's why they loaded it with a full set of industry-standard controls. An onboard 3-band EQ lets you easily tune your sound to bring out the best in your guitar in any environment. The TSA30H also features independent gain and volume controls (as found on many of the most popular tube amplifiers of all time). These let you pull back the TSA30H's output volume without affecting its gain staging, allowing you to get the distortion and drive you love, but at a lower volume.

Ibanez TSA30H Tube Screamer Series Guitar Amplifier Head Features:
  • Powerful all-tube guitar amplifier head with classic Tube Screamer tone circuit onboard
  • The perfect amp head for your Ibanez TSA212C extension cabinet
  • 30-watt tube guitar amplifier gives you more than enough output for larger venues

  • 3-band EQ lets you tweak you overall sound to perfection

Best amp for the price Period.

So I bought this amp with the goal of having a low watt alternative to my main 88 watt amp for the studio. When I got it I hooked it up to my black star cab loaded with eminence wizards and BAM my head exploded. This amp sounds about 10x better than any other amp I have used easily twice the price. Volume wise it screams for 30 watts. Its right at that level to where if you pair it up with another amp on stage its as louder than you could need for normal gigs and by itself its just right. Tone wise the break up is creamy and it is one of the best pedal platforms I have ever used. I would probably say it sounds more like an ac30 than the fender equivalents but what ever it is its throaty and thick and full of charm. I have since bought that matching cab and loaded it with wizards "c70\80s sound gross" and it has become my main amp period.

After trying it in the TSA30C had to buy the Head

Amazingly loud amplifier, by using the gain and volume alone you can get a very strong distortion without even engaging the overdrive tube screamer. Kicking in the built in (808 TS I believe) it warms up very nicely. I'm very impressed with this amp from clean to distortion to overdrive. I played it through the TSA30 Combo with the Seventy80 speaker, but I have a 2x12 with a V30 and Creamback, it sounds remarkable. My other tube amp is a JVM410H, this certainly holds its own doing an A/B comparison.I evaluated the 6V6 (15 watt) versus this 6L6 version. I'm not sure you can go wrong either way but getting a 6L6 for this price was more than a bargain. My only con is fear of messing up the very soft leather like tolex, it's gorgeous though :-)As usual Sweetwater (Ryan C.) got the delivery perfect (was worried it wasn't going to be delivered to my offices because we were closed for Good Friday, it came in on Thursday and Easter was saved!). The 6dB does exactly what it is supposed to do.

Ibanez TSA 30

At first, I was not, crazy about the Ibanez amp because I missed the reverb. I put a micro verb digital reverb in the effects loop and it made a world of difference. I have been playing all day Gretsch, Strats, Teles, Goya, Hagstroms Regal Les Paul to mention a few all sound good it is a much better sounding amp than the blues Jr (which I found a bit harsh and one dimensional), or the Peavey 30 for about the same price or less. This is a much-underrated amp. The only troubling issue I have with this amp is that the tubes do get hot in the closed compartment and there is no fan but I will be using . P.S. Sweetwater had it on my doorstep the next morning before I could track it.
