Love it!
Bought the Pewter model a little over a year ago, and I absolutely love it. I"m primarily a drummer, but I also play a little guitar, bass and keyboards. Last year I started a project to record a bunch of tunes I wrote a while back. Nothing fancy, just me doing a one-man-band thing on a MacBook running GarageBand. I"ve used this bass for everything from ballads to hard rockers, and it has performed admirably on every tune. GB comes with a bunch of presets for bass sounds using various amps and pedal combos, and I"ve played around with many of them. But frankly, I prefer the raw sound coming straight from the bass itself. I typically add a very small amount amount of EQ and just a touch of compression, but that"s it. I find this instrument to be particularly well suited to my needs.
yes
I have the red one and love it,mine did come with the template that tells you what all the knobs and toggle do.The smoked chrome looks awesome.Sounds great I'm not ,even thinking of getting another bass for a long time. Sad to say I didn't get it from sweetwater so I had to learn how to set it up. no problem. I have a small Ampeg but saving to upgrade soon.I woud recommend this bass because it's so nice for not a lot of money.
Bass guitar
The best so far
Looks good, Sounds good!
This is my first time to own a bass guitar and I'm glad I get to start off with this one. Light weight but heavy on quality and performance. Fast & free shipping is amazing and Sweetwater's 55-Point evaluation is just awesome!
New Bass
Did not feel bad at all about replacing my Fendern Modern Player Series Jazz bass with this one. The presets, are nice, although I wish a Legend plate was included to state which position was which. Nice low action, and nice setup, Andy at Sweetwater did a great job as far as customer service was concerned.
i did
i watched 100 videos. i do play the bass . the epi viola an Aria "my money bass" an" SG" and i gave away my Bronco....ive leveled a bunch of fair licks on the acoustic guitar....i ve done whatever JOUPE DE CORA has!
ive done the stones, Fleetwood MAc and a host of stuff in BILLY SQUIER......I WAS THINKING OF A BUNCH OF BASSES AS A POSSIBILITY( HOFNER IGNITER SERIES ,THE DELRAY 4 AND SUB 5, The Longhorn by Danelectro ,Gretsch- and i was drawn to the Ibanez TALMANS AND, so on and so forth)
Sweetwater was the place too!
Yamaha and Babinga and Sorkeling and Mango...... Yamaha..
..thy are due to attack a new place for me a BASS GUITAR I OWN. in a short time i will know.....But i think i have made a great choice.
FANTASTIC BASS FOR THE PRICE
Two words...INCREDIBLE TONE. I cannot believe how clean sounding and versatile this bass is, for under $400. Very well constructed. The dual humbuckers will blow you away. And the 5 position EQ switch is there for any style of playing. It even comes with a switch template that lets you easily see what setting you want to try. This bass rivals my StingRay 4HH in tone quality and versatility. But what I really like is the built-in thumb rests on the sides of each pickup. Brilliant ! I'm sure other bass makers will soon follow this great idea. I would have never thought about buying a bass from Yamaha, until I saw this TRBX hanging on a rack at my local guitar store and giving it a test drive. I did my online research and then the decision was simple. Especially after I saw that Nathan East plays a Yamaha ! Look, you can spend a whole lot more for a bass, but for me, why should I ? This bass packs plenty of punch, has a fast neck, and sounds amazing. I'm very happy with my purchase. You will be too. Buy this now.
Very comfortable
I'm new to making music. This is my second bass and I like it a lot . It has a great tone and with the 5 position switch I can get any sound I want. Mine has a slight problem that happened after the warranty expired one of the pots stopped working. A small thing and an easy fix. Yes I would recommend this axe to a friend.
