Bold and Balanced Jingle

Juggling the tone of two types of jingles, this Meinl Hand Held Recording-Combo ABS Tambourine delivers the shimmering warmth and crisp attack you'll find handy any time you reach for a tambourine. Sweetwater percussionists really appreciate the combination of the slightly darker solid brass jingles with the ultra-bright nickel-plated steel jingles, and together they let you produce anything from swelling sustained low-volume shaking to powerful and percussive strikes and snaps. It also doesn't hurt that this Recording-Combo ABS Tambourine is virtually indestructible, making it a great option for live performance or worship bands where instruments get passed around a lot. And between its guiro-style playing surface and padded grip, you couldn't ask for a more comfortable tambourine.

Meinl Hand Held Recording-Combo ABS Tambourine Features:
  • An amazing and affordable tambourine that's prefect for recording and live performance
  • Sandwiched ABS plastic frame construction projects well and is virtually indestructible
  • Nickel-plated steel and solid-brass jingles deliver ultra-bright sound with a crisp attack

Love it

Stage or studio, this is my favorite tambourine. Note, however, that it has a more delicate, longer-sustaining tone than the ubiquitous RhythmTech, which might actually be a better choice for you if you're trying to cut through a loud band.

This is by far the most amazing tambourine I've ever held. It has the brass and silver jingles giving it a "crash" kind of sound, which makes hitting it the most satisfying thing in the world. And don't worry about hand cramps from all the fun you will be having with it, because its grip is superb and will although will eventually become uncomfortable due to personal fatigue, you will be able to keep a beat going for far longer than any other tambourine. Excellent product for a percussion enthusiast like myself.

ABS tambourine

This tambourine is a great addition to grow list of percussion items I use while playing jazz, folk, early alternative, and country music. It fits very well in either hand and can easy be mounted to a stand. It takes the slight hand vibration to activate music and is easy silenced for a break in the music. A must have for the open minded genre musician.

Feels Great

All around, this is a great tambourine. Nice, crisp, jingly sound, and the padded grip is easy on the hands. Seems to work well on tight patterns, whereas some cheaper tambourines the jingles are too loose. Whereas when you have excessive space for the jingles to travel, this causes a less-than-tight action. This tambourine is much tighter than my other, cheaper tambourine. Recommended.

Church Setting

My first purchase of a Tambourine.. I purchased this to be used by my daughter in church, I have heard several different tambourine's used by other people, but of the probably 12 varieties i have heard this one if FAR and AWAY better... It is balanced, and feels good in the hand, very satisfied, and Mike Godlove has always done a good job as my sales rep. Always returns e-mail, and calls.. Always help's me pick the gear I need for my need's..... If youre on the fence like I was, get one, you wont regret it.
