Affordable Semi-hollow Talman Reissue

The fast maple "C" neck and woody tones of the 1990s Ibanez Talman solidbody electric guitar are back in an F-hole design! This Talman's semi-hollowbody mahogany body and maple top have a natural warm tone with top-end projection that shines for blues to rock 'n' roll. This guitar has some notable advantages over other guitars that share the Talman's design, like a flatter fretboard radius that's better suited to modern playing techniques, and a contoured heel at the neck joint for better high-fret access.

Custom Vintage pickups for bite, twang, and sustain

A pair of classic-styled single coils gives the Talman 302 a familiar American twang with a higher output to drive tube amps. These Custom Vintage pickups respond well to dynamics, so you can ramp up from sparkling cleans to overdriven grit just by reaching for the Talman's volume knob.

Ibanez Talman 302 Solidbody Electric Guitar Features:
  • Reissue of the celebrated Ibanez Talman of the 1990s
  • Maple-on-mahogany semi-hollowbody design sounds great for blues and rock
  • Classic-Plus maple neck with contoured heel joint for upper-fret access
  • Maple fretboard with medium frets and classic dot inlays

Ibanez Talman Standard 302HM

The customer service at Sweetwater is second to none! The guitar arrived fully set up and ready to play straight out of the box. The 55 point inspection is awesome. There was no fret buzz in any position on the neck, and the action is exceptionally smooth. The neck feels very similar to a Telecaster in my humble opinion. Haven't played the guitar through an amp yet, so can offer no feedback regarding the pickups. Would give it a five-star rating, but the tone control knob is somewhat difficult to rotate. It may be that way by design, though. Overall very pleased with the guitar and the excellent service.
Music background: 40 years with a few different bands, but only pursue it as a hobby now.
