Real V-Drums at a Great Price!

If you're a serious drummer, the Roland TD-25KV lets you tap into high-end V-Drum playability in a high-value electronic drum kit. Powered by the TD-25 module, the TD-25KV gives you the renowned expressiveness that makes Roland's V-Drums the go-to e-drums for pro drummers worldwide. The streamlined interface makes it easy to customize your kits, while the onboard audio recording function captures your drum performances. Other cool features include natural-feel mesh-head pads, positional snare sensing for enhanced expression, and the VH-11 V-Hi-hat for playing with legit hat techniques. The state of the art in electronic drums keeps pushing forward, and — take it from Sweetwater — you'll be on the cutting edge with the Roland TD-25KV.

Professional sounds, amazing expressiveness

The TD-25KV delivers a fabulous drumming experience, courtesy of its TD-25 sound module and Roland's SuperNATURAL technology with Behavior Modeling inherited from the popular TD-30. Going way beyond typical e-drum brains, the TD-25 responds to your playing just like actual acoustic drums. From snare drum rim shots, rolls, flams, and ghost notes to dynamic cymbal swells and powerful crashes, the TD-25 captures every nuance of your performance. And for the ultimate in natural playing feel, the TD-25 offers positional snare sensing with compatible Roland drum pads, and also works with Roland's VH-11 V-Hi-hat for realistic hi-hat techniques.

High-end feel and playability

Sit down at the TD-25KV, and you'll savor the expressive playability you'd expect from high-end V-Drums. You get a full complement of mesh-head pads for that legendary V-Drums feel, with snare pad positional sensing that gives you subtle, realistic tonal changes depending on where you strike the pad. The cymbals deliver a natural swinging motion and faithfully reproduce chokes, bow/edge crash techniques, and bow/edge/bell sounds on the ride. The VH-11 V-Hi-hat mounts on a standard hi-hat stand (not included) and features open/closed motion and bow/edge sounds that support traditional playing techniques. And you'll love the natural-feel cloth head and the rock-solid response of the KD-9 Kick Pad.

Dial up kits, customize, and start grooving

With its delightfully easy-to-use interface, the Roland TD-25 drum module lets you get up and grooving immediately. Even with sticks in your hands, the large center dial lets you quickly select your kit based on musical genres such as standard, rock, jazz, electronic, and more. Choose a style, then press the dial to toggle between different kit variations. With the TD-25, it's incredibly easy to customize sounds to your playing techniques or a particular musical style. Simply hit a pad to pull up the sound assigned to it, and then tweak the panel knobs to adjust tuning, muffling, or relative volume. The TD-25 gives you shortcuts to speed up tom editing, letting you assign sounds and change muffling and tuning for all toms simultaneously. Your edits are saved automatically, eliminating extra steps. Of course, if you decide you don't like your recent tweaks, it's easy to undo them and return the kit to its state when you first selected it.

Play along with tracks and record your performances

Want to play along with a track? Load a USB memory stick with WAV/MP3 files and start jamming. In addition to its regular playback mode, the Roland TD-25 module lets you loop sections you want to work on or slow down the playback to nail more difficult passages. You can even plug your smartphone into the audio input and play along with songs from your music library or the web. You can also record your drumming — including the music playback — as audio files to a USB memory stick. This is an excellent way to assess your playing and share your drumming with producers or other musicians. The TD-25 is fitted with a USB host port as well, which gives you a convenient way to record MIDI data and high-quality audio directly to your DAW.

1st E-Kit

This is my first E-Kit and I was a little unsure about buying one. I considered it for a long time for obvious reasons less noise, more practice time, and recording options mostly, so after a lot of research and deliberation I took the plunge and I am so glad I did! Let me start by saying this kit far exceeded my expectations!!! I was blown away by the feel and response of the mesh heads, they feel great and are very comparable to an acoustic set and the tension on the heads was perfect for me right out of the box! The snare is amazing with great modeling depending on where you strike the head. Ghost notes, buzz rolls and rim shots are not a problem. The cymbals however take a little getting used to... not that they are bad but they do have a different feel and response than regular cymbals. The hi-hat was actually better than I expected it to be... once it was calibrated. the pedal feel and response of the hi-hat is great but does feel different with the sticks. The ride is a matter of finding the sweet spots for the zones and takes a little getting used to. The crashes depend a lot on the type of cymbal setting you are using and I found it actually takes a harder strike than I expected. I'm sure this can be eliminated through a little tweaking of the sensitivity settings and adjustments but I have not got that far yet as I'm only about three days out of the box at this point. The cymbals are by far the most noticeable difference from an acoustic kit ...for me anyway. and like I stated earlier...not bad just different As for the sound...The module is very user friendly and easy to navigate. some of the factory pre-set kits are pretty good but with the options and flexibility to easily adjust and save your own custom kits it really doesn't matter what you think of the factory kits they are more of a starting point than anything else. The settings for the snare, toms and kick pads were good right from the box. I have experienced absolutely 0 crosstalk or false triggering with factory settings and as I mentioned earlier the only thing I had to do was calibrate the hi-hat which was very easy and will probably need to tweak the sensitivity on the crash cymbals a little but hey no big deal. The TD-30 and TD-50 have more options and bigger pads but if your on a budget as I am those may be out of reach. This is an amazing kit at about half the cost of the TD-50 and does everything I need and more. BUY THIS KIT!!! and more importantly... BUY IT FROM SWEETWATER. trust me I have bought a lot of gear over the years from several different companies and you will not find any better sales/service than SWEETWATER!!!!

You will understand why this is not a cheap kit

First of all, Sweetwater's customer service is from another planet. Being from a foreign country (Honduras) , I wanted to buy this kit locally without any I decided to buy it on line through "famous" Sam Ash and Guitar Center...those guys are a joke. They don't understand that customers are first. Then I found this amazing store and bum...Mr.Paul guided me through the whole process, being patient with all my questions and finally sending my kit the way I expected it. About the kit: shut up and play it...easy to set up...lots of options and great hardware quality. Roland is Roland...don't waste your time with other brands. Finally a big Thank you to Sweetwater. Don't waste your time with other stores.

This kit simply "ROCKS"!

Just purchased this kit last week from Sweetwater, and it is awesome! Good thing that I didn't got stuck waiting how the Alesis Strike Pro kit will sound like. I went ahead and followed my gut, great decision. The sound is unbelievably great and it is night and day comparison with my previous kit. Two thumbs up. Highly recommended for intermediate drummers.

Wow! Roland & Sweetwater have left me speechless!

First, I'd like to say how smooth, easy & effortless the process of getting the technical information I needed, the credit I needed and the V-Drums I needed was. Mike Arango at Sweetwater knows his stuff, I can't thank him enough for his patience with all the questions and his expertise/knowledge of the Roland TD-25KV system. I placed the order with him on the phone and 2 days later I was playing this wonderful V-Drum set like I'd been playing it forever.Second, the Roland TD-25KV kit itself; I'm 46 and have played acoustics since I was 12 y/o, was hesitant to switch over to V-Drums after trying "other" brands through the last 10 years, but the reviews persuaded me to give it a try and I haven't looked back. I still have my original acoustics I started with in 1981 (they're like family) but the ease of use, true Acoustic sound & feel, the playability is just fantastic and feels natural. I'm glad I went ahead with the KV's and I even added a BT-1 trigger (instant cow bell, wood block or almost anything else you'd want). Sounds great with Nylon Brushes (so you don't damage the mesh heads), the ride has multiple zones as does the snare, I just can't say enough about how great this set sounds.Summary - if you've ever wanted to try a set of electric drums, I'd highly recommend both the Roland TD-25KV and Sweetwater to get you there.

This eKit is it!!!

This is my 3rd Roland Kit. I started in about 2000 with a V-Custom and TD-8 (very nice kit for time and price) then I got a TD-4KP due to moving to an apartment and with limited space and generally used In Ear Monitors to keep peace with the neighbors. I decided to upgrade once again with this TD-25KV and WOW what a Fantastic Drum Kit. I'm impressed with the ease of use with the bit dial/pushbutton selecting a variety of preprogrammed kits. The feel is incredible, I love the HH response using my DW5000 HH Stand. The dynamics on the HH are really incredible. All of the Cymbals are top notch. I'm using a DW5002 double pedal and couldn't be happier with the performance. The sound through my PA system (Yamaha Stagepas 600 with Yamaha DSX12 sub) is incredible. I added my Roland Pad-6 to the Aux In and I have an incredible sounding Drum Kit.Thanks for the great service Patrick Weaver!!! Pat always remembers me every call and is an expert at what he does. One day free shipping to me too.Sweetwater is the best Musical Vendor Period. Keep up the great work. The candy in the package was a nice touch too.I'm done going to GC, the deal is better and the shipping and satisfaction saves me the traffic hassle too.
