Twenty Watts of Tricked-out Tone

At 20 watts, this PRS Two Channel Custom 20 combo amplifier gives you the Swiss Army Knife tonal versatility of its 50-watt bigger brother, but with a easier breakup at lower volumes. Two channels pack more variety than you may expect, covering everything from expansive, chiming clean tones to tight, aggressive high-gain sounds. And despite the tonal flexibility the guitarists here at Sweetwater dig, the Two Channel Custom is quite easy to dial in fast. What's more, you get a footswitchable solo boost, an effects loop with send/return level controls, and a powerful set of tone-shaping controls.

PRS Two Channel Custom 20-watt, 1 x 12" Tube Combo Amplifier at a Glance:
  • Professional features and high-class tone
  • Dial in your sound with flexible tone-shaping control
  • A sweet-sounding, assignable reverb
Professional features and high-class tone

The PRS Two Channel Custom is easy to integrate into virtually any guitar rig. You've got a switchable 4-/8-/16-ohm speaker output, so you can easily connect an extension speaker cabinet to push more air. And the effects loop has send/return level controls, making it simple to keep your signal level consistent throughout your effects chain. And just like every PRS amp, the Two Channel Custom has easy-access bias points on the back panel for easier tube maintenance.

Dial in your sound with flexible tone-shaping control

You've got a lot of playing to do before you've heard all that the Two Channel Custom has to offer. Two channels give you everything from extremely clean tones to raw, aggressive high-gain sounds. For a more modern sound, the mid tone control on the lead channel can be pulled for mid-scooped tones, which is perfect for metal. A presence control lets you dial in as much intensity as you want, and pulling it engages the depth circuit which adds low-frequency emphasis in the power amp stage. Long story short, if you've got a tone in your head, you can probably create it with the PRS Two Channel Custom.

A sweet-sounding, assignable reverb

You get a rich-sounding reverb onboard the Two Channel Custom amplifier, and it's more flexible than you might expect. Give the reverb knob a pull and it assigns itself to just the clean channel - push it back in and it's on for both channels. So whether you like reverb on everything or just on some of your parts, you've got what you need in the PRS Two Channel Custom.

PRS Two Channel Custom 20-watt, 1 x 12" Tube Combo Amplifier Features:
  • Modern-sounding combo amplifier with features designed for the professional gigging guitarist
  • Closed-back design enhances definition and tonal punch
  • Master volume for each channel really lets you fine-tune your tonal combinations
  • Amazingly responsive and dynamic with no loss of high frequencies when you turn down your guitar's volume
  • Footswitchable solo boost makes it easy to cut through the mix
  • Rich-sounding reverb can be assigned to both channels or just the clean channel
  • Lead channel has a push/pull mid-scoop control
  • Pulling the presence knob engages low-frequency emphasis
The PRS Two Channel Custom could be your desert island amplifier!

PRS 2 Channel Custom 20 Combo

I bought a demo model of this amp from Sweetwater and have been completely satisfied with it. I was a bit apprehensive about a 20 watt amp, but it's delivered the goods on stage. I've used it with a Fender Strat and a PRS DGT, and both sound great through this little beast. Like most PRS amps, it's very musical and articulate, even when pushed. One aspect of using a low-wattage amp is that you can really crank the volume and push some air without shattering glass. For amps in this price range, the 2 Channel Custom is worth looking into.

Rich tones

I've had this amp for 3 months now and it seems to get better every day. It has about every feature you could want (assignable reverb, boost, effect loop) but the sound of this amp is the best feature. The clean channel on this is as good as any amp I've played through. Crank it to the verge of break up, add a good overdrive and you'll not want to put your guitar down. The overdrive channel goes from mild crunch to full saturation with outstanding articulation. One cool thing on this amp is the level controls on the effects loop, you can patch a cable and turn these levels down and crank up the volume of the amp for more breakup at lower volumes. One thing I should note is the size of this amp is not as listed, it actually measures 22.5"w X 20"h X 9.5"d. This equals about half the cubic volume listed in the specs, but I assure you there is more than enough low end. Sweetwater's customer service is as good as you'll find anywhere.

Great Mid Sized Amp for All Uses

First I've been a PRS fan since 1987 and still own an original 1988 Signature Series Custom guitar. Let me say, I was skeptical when Paul started making amps, afraid he was going out for the buck. On this amp I was so wrong. At 20 loud watts it is plenty to practice with even with a loud band setting. I've owned mostly 1980s vintage amps Marshall, Rivera, and Boogie and this one is on par with them. This could be the last amp I own as I have already sold my Boogie, my Marshall and am considering parting ways with my Rivera TBR-1SL.

Astounding Amp

Like all things PRS does, this is a tremendously musical amp. I have been searching for an amp that gives musical feedback at bedroom volume and this is it! From creamy distortion to glass cutting modern plus a crystal clear or warm clean channel, this thing is all you need! And it is very touch sensitive and volume sensitive, very expressive which makes for inspiring performance. The absolute perfect amp for someone who wants everything in a single unit. You don't need a boost pedal either because it has one built in with the thoughtful addition of different boost volume for each channel. Truly astounding tone and huge amount of adjustability to match whatever style of music you want.
