    It's a Mesa/Boogie... enough said

Plain and simple, if you can't find the sound you are looking for out of this: you might be happier with a different type of tubes (ie 6v6, 6l6, el34, ECT) or different speakers. Chimes and very warm. Sparkles and screams. The reverb is the best I've heard: from earie and haunting blues to surfing to sweet spank.

    Worth Every Penny

This amp is basically 5 amps in one. It sounds great in all 5 modes. Rich warm creamy tones! Sparkling cleans to screaming overdrive. This amp has it all. The Dyna watt switch it great allowing you to run each channel and a different wattage simultaneously. You can run your cleans at 30 watts for maximum head room and dirty channel at 15 watts for great tube hi-gain saturation without ear damaging volumes. Unless your playing a 20,000 seat stadium you have no need for a 100+ watt amp. Do yourself a favor and get this one. Mesa components have to test within 2% of the original spec. That means the tone you heard in all those demo videos you watched is the tone you get when you buy one. Most amp manufactures have a 20% component tolerance. Imagine playing your guitar within 20% of being in tune. I've have a vox and an orange and they sound good, but every time i plug into my TA-30 it sounds GREAT. Yes it's expensive but you get what you pay for. Its worth every penny.

That vintage sound you have in your head can now be heard.

I love this amp! I currently also own a Roadster head, a stilleto ace and 4 differant Mesa cabs, I liked all my amps, I love this one. It is very musical and full of warm soul. I have had vintage fenders, all sorts of Marshalls and more, but Mesa has it nailed. The footswitch is right, one button for channel and the other for effects on/off. Most other amps the second button is for something worthless like reverb or solo, with the effect on/off I can use my TC G-system or a string of petals, leasurely set it up while playing until I need the effect and then click it on. No frantic tap dancing needed! Best of all this little puppy sings in ways old AC30tbs or marshall blues breakers can only try. A simple guitar-cable-amp setup sounds fantastic with this amp. I mostly use this open back with the Black shadow speakers on top of a mesa closed back 2x12 with Vintage 30s and it blends so nicely.
