A Great Upgrade! Great Buy!

Purchased the Celestion BL10-200X to replace the OEM speaker in a Peavey MAX110 practice amp (early version). I don't care for "sparkling highs", though I can dial up treble much better; but the difference in lows and mid-range was phenomenal! This small amp became an excellent, tight sounding amplifer and the tube emulator plus the 3 band EQ on the amp now stand out as not before. One thing to note: the spade lugs on the speaker did not match the spade connectors on the amp's speaker wires. This may not be a problem for others and I did not want to make a trip to an auto supply store to match them them up...so I soldered the wires to the speaker. Just a heads up...not a big deal. I have an old 500W Carvin amp that has been a workhorse since the mid-90s...2X10 cabinet and 1X15 cabinet. She's going to get new Celestion Green Label Bass Speakers very soon to give her a better voice. Buy these speakers!

Power and Impact

After several years of use it was time to upgrade my Gallien Krueger 4x10. My guitar player swears by Celestion guitar speakers and took it upon himself to search for new replacements for me. He found these and I can't thank him enough. It was worth the "I told you so". My cab is now double the power it originally was and my bass tone is heard and felt like never before. What an IMPROVEMENT and well within my budget. Highly recommended!!!

Replacment speakers

Bought these speakers to replace a blown sub in my fender rumble 300. Had to replace 3 quick disconnects on the speaker wire but it was simple. Also the outer ring of the speaker wasn't as wide as the original speakers. These subs thump and have a better low end than the oem speakers!

Nice amount of low end.

Much more low end than my last set, and more than I would expect for 10" speakers. Took a little bit of readjusting my amp, but ultimately the sound has been filled out a bit more.
