I GOT A BARGAIN READ THIS!!
Okay so I gave it 5 stars. Its a great converter. However with my Tinitis, I'm not sure my ears can tell the difference between this and well lesser quality AD/DA's. The rub is I got 8 AES, and 8 Optical that I am not using. I'd prefer to convert that to analog i/o instead. I suppose if I had to do it over again, I'd probably go for the 16x16 however there is a huge CATCH that they DO NOT TELL YOU! I'll explain later on.. Now keep in mind, when installing this module, be careful. Its a cakewalk to install so don't worry just be careful. Other than that, if I had some Optical Interface or AES interface perhaps I'd find more use for this. That being said, I would have to literally pay an extra $ for guess what? A measly 8 Analog I/O. So although I may sound contradictory, and wish for the 16x16, the truth is i got a great bargain. Why would anyone ever in their right mind pay over a grand for 8 lousy analog i/o? Who knows perhaps if you do the math it all evens out especially with the new Lynx (n) AD/DA converters, etc. Bottom line, do your research before you purchase. One thing's for sure. I'm gonna turn those Optical I/O's and AES I/O's into good ole fashion analog i/o's somehow someway. Get around 32 analog I/O. Hope that helps.
