Superior Drummer makes adding realistic drums to your music easy
What gives Superior Drummer 2.0 its amazing reputation is Toontrack's understand of the way that users approach drum programming. Nothing bogs down a composer's or musician's creative process as much as distractions like having to find the right sounds or tweak the playback engine to get a useful kit. If the instrument sounds like it should from the beginning, then it's much easier to start writing music. Superior Drummer makes it easy to get started by providing you with both great sounding kits, but also the freedom to let it provide great drum playing while you work on the rest of the song. If you like to get into the guts of the engine and customize your tones or start from scratch and build your tones and drum lines from the ground up, that's no problem at all — but you don't have to get that detailed. If you simply want to adjust a few things or even leave the automated performance alone all together and just commit it to audio, Superior Drummer can do that too with no hassle whatsoever. And Superior Drummer is loaded with effects and other options that let you express yourself in many other ways.

At the request of Pat Thrall (Glenn Hughs, Black Crowes, Beyonce), the original sounds in Superior Drummer 2.0 were recorded in 2005 at the soon-to-be-closing Hit Factory studio in New York. For the session, Pat invited experienced producer and engineer, Neil Dorfsman (Kiss, Bruce Springsteen, Dire Straits, Sting), who, in turn, brought along renowned live and session drummer Nir Z whose credits include acts such as Joss Stone, Genesis, and Chris Cornell. Nir Z brought along his GMS drums, and Pat, Neil, and the Toontrack production team went to work! The result is the amazing collection of great kits played by famous drummer that comes standard with Toontrack's Superior Drummer 2.0.
