Great to Go

I was pleasantly surprised when I started loading up this rack and realized how roomy the top compartment is. I placed the included velcro divider into the top compartment and found my Electribe fit perfectly on one side of the divider and my MacBook Pro 15 fit perfectly on the other. There was still room for my Quneo and a Roli Seaboard Block on top of the laptop.Everything seems secure and well protected.

The only faults I can point out are the hardware for the shoulder strap looks really light, so opted not to use it. This leads me to the top handle. It's spread pretty wide between the two side handles. it would have been nice to have a velcro strap to hold the two handles together, but I guess I can add that feature myself. Overall, I'm super happy with this rack.

A more refined gig bag.

I'm using this Gator bag to pack my ME-80 effects box. I modified this case for my needs. My Line 6 wireless goes in, my tablet holder hardware, power supplies. A TC Helicon GXT harmonizer as well as my double AA recharger unit. Basically everything I need to set up my playing area. (My wires and mic's are in another bag)

The construction is sturdy, straps and handles galore. The two top handles are slightly larger diameter then I would expect. I have large hands and I can grasp them both, but I could see someone smaller struggling to get a grip.Theres a shoulder strap (removed) and an end carry handle as well.

I drilled out the rack ears rivets and I could slide the ME-80 straight into that slot without having to watch out the the rack ears scratching my gear. The interior of the GSR-2U I covered in soft felt, either on top of foam, or wood. Theres are also dense foam strips included to cut, glue, wedge, as needed.

Theres some weight to this bag. I roll my gear into the gig on a cart so it makes no difference to me. The substantial construction and weight, allow me to set my XR16 mixer (in a shallow 3 space roto-case) on top, so the Gator is pulling "double duty" at a gig.

Velcro stuff all over and inside as well. I secure a couple of short patch cords to the inside lid. The zippers are large, strong and easy to use. Theres a rear zippered flap on the bottom for the rear rack access. Unused on my setup.

I'm clad I chose this and left another soft, "duffel" type bag at home. More organized, more professional, and of course that equals better PAY !! Well maybe, maybe not.

Cheap Hardware

The shoulder strap broke the first time I used it. $worth or equipment went airborne. Take a close look at the thickness and quality of the metal used so the clips on the strap can rotate, your entire investment is riding on them.
