    So far so good.

    Been using it for heavy studio work for nearly 2 years thru USB 3.0 on a 2012 Mac Mini. Very fast and reliable.

    Chaned my view

    Mine was not reading out of the box but the Sweetwater I guys called be and sorted it out; just started using it but it is running nice and fast.

    drive failure

    Over the years I've purchased several hard drives from glyph. I have had 2 failures which both failed within the warranty period. On the 1st drive my data was recovered and the drive was replaced all good. However on the 2nd drive that failed their attempt to recover the data was not successful. A few of the files were recovered however 80 percent of the files that were recovered were not able to be opened because they were corrupted. The failure of the drive took place under normal operating conditions nothing out of the ordinary happening. I had only had the drive for 3 months when it failed. Glyph tech support continue to try and recover my data but eventually exhausted all methods. The next option was to send it to the clean lab at Seagate. They were able to recover my data at a cost of $600. It tells you when the warranty information that the customer is responsible for the cost of advanced data recovery but it does not tell you what that cost is. Lessons learned I am now using a different manufacturer using a RAID set up. Maybe I just had a bad "lemon" in the bunch but it certainly was a costly endeavor.

    Right out of the box

    Right out of the box I received a bad unit; received a USB error and could never get my PC (creation station) to recognize this drive. It needs to be formatted for PC but you cannot do this if you cannot see the drive. Glad I did not spend hours loading vsts and them have it fail Being returned.
