Dual humbuckers deliver super-charged tone

For this Standard Stratocaster HH solidbody electric guitar, Fender changed out the typical trio of Stratocaster single-coil pickups for a pair of Blacktop open-coil humbuckers. You can coax anything from classic glassy-clean Fender tones to aggressive, throaty humbucker tones out of these flexible tone machines. On top of that, you get a coil-splitting push-pull switch built into this guitar's tone knob, providing you with plenty of tonal versatility. This Standard Stratocaster HH was designed to be a flexible guitar that's ready for any situation.

Maple neck and rosewood fingerboard with modern "C" shape and satin urethane finish

Leo Fender wasn't a guitar player. In fact, he got his start repairing radios. So he had no idea that guitars weren't supposed to have maple necks. In time, those blond maple necks and fingerboards became a Fender trademark, though the company eventually offered rosewood fingerboards on most of its models. This Fender Standard Stratocaster HH solidbody electric guitar has the maple neck, but adds the rosewood fingerboard for a warmer, more traditional sound, look, and feel. In keeping with contemporary tastes, this Strat has a more modern "C" shape maple neck with a satin urethane finish.

The Fender Strat - an icon of modern music

First introduced in 1954, the Fender Stratocaster has become an icon of modern music. Rock, country, blues - you'll find a Strat at the heart of just about every musical genre. The distinctive Stratocaster design approaches the realm of modern art. The almost infinitely variable tones are achieved by using a number of combinations of single-coil and humbucking pickups. The roster of notable Stratocaster players includes surf rock pioneer Dick Dale, Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, John Frusciante, Mark Knopfler, Yngwie Malmsteen, and hundreds more.

Fender Standard Stratocaster HH Solidbody Electric Guitar Features:
  • Dual Blacktop humbuckers deliver super-charged tone
  • Coil-splitting push-pull switch gives you plenty of tonal versatility
  • Alder body provides you with a great-sounding complexity of tones
  • Modern "C" neck profile serves up outstanding feel
  • 9.5" radius fingerboard with medium jumbo frets let you bend up high without fretting out
This Fender Standard Stratocaster HH solidbody electric guitar delivers loads of aggressive and in-your-face tone!

My main guitar now.

The sizzly distortion is A-mazing sounding. The fingerboard one of the best of all time. I owned a poplar wood Ibanez RG, and I admit the clean lows are tighter and more pronounced, more hi-fi on the Ibanez. But the HH Standard strat is a great lead guitarist guitar. Buy it. You'll be glad you did.

Actually I am blow away by this guitar. I bought it to use as a beater but it ranks right up there with my higher end guitars.I didn't think this guitar would hold up at gig volumes like most cheaper priced guitars. But it does and does it well . Sounds better the louder I play it! I see no need right now to swap the pickups.Looks and feels great. Plays like butter. Very nice easy playing neck.

Impressive quality

Fender has really put attention to detail in thier line, and this guitar is no exception. The fretboard is comfortable, and has no sharp frets. I also like that there is minimal use of finish throughout the neck. Everything feels solid, and the tremelo was setup right out of the box and stays in tune well. Unplugged, strings and chords ring, but the ceramic pickups are where the real fun begins. They sound aggressive and tight in the lows. With the coil split engaged, it has a sweet single coil vibe which will prove useful in coming years. Overall, I'm very impressed at what Fender offers for this price range. I own several high end guitars including a Taylor 814ce and a Gibson Les Paul Traditional, so I know a great guitar when I play one.

Fender hits a home run

I gave it a 4.5 star and not a perfect 5 for small reasons. But overall the new Fender Stratocaster Standard HH is a real winner. I love Alder wood and poplar. The solos are singy, and the power chords are crisp and huge. Yeah Alder is tonally balanced in low, mids, and highs. The lows are good. Fender add ceramic hot wound pickups and ditched the Alnico to make this hotrodded guitar truly rock. The upside is that for ceramic pickups, their really clear on cleans. But you have to dial up the eq some. The down side of ceramic pups is that Alnico 2,3,4,5 are much more musical. That's why I only gave it a 4.5 star. This guitar was built in Mexico, but the assembly was done in the US. So it's acutally partially built in the United States in California. All in all I recommend this guitar. If your riding the fence on Mexican built versus American. Don't hesitate to buy this beaute. This guitar is all that. Buy it.
