Versatile, super-charged tone
For this Standard Stratocaster HSH solidbody electric guitar, Fender changed out two of its typical Stratocaster single-coil pickups for a pair of Blacktop open-coil humbuckers, giving you loads of tonal variations. You can coax anything from glassy-clean Fender tones to aggressive humbucker tones out of these flexible tone machines. If that wasn't enough, you also get a coil-splitting push-pull switch built into the tone knob, giving you even more tonal versatility. This Standard Stratocaster HSH was designed to be a flexible guitar that's ready for any situation.
Fast and comfortable neck
Leo Fender wasn't a guitar player. In fact, he got his start repairing radios. So he had no idea that guitars weren't supposed to have maple necks. In time, Fender began offering fingerboards such as the pau ferro fretboard, which is found on this Fender Standard Stratocaster HSS. And in keeping with contemporary tastes, this HSS has a more modern C-shaped maple neck with a satin urethane finish for a fast feel.
