Different not Better
As the title states "Different not Better". The deep C neck takes away the ease of playing the upper register of the guitar because it is too thick. I feel the modern C is still the best neck. The Shawbuckers in my opinion have too much mid range for my taste. The sound lacks color. I changed the pickups to a Seymour Duncan "59" neck and bridge and it sounds like a million bucks.
The fit and finish were excellent, but I don't think the "Deep C" neck and Shawbuckers were an improvement. Sometimes change is not always for the better.
I own several Strats and Telecasters along with Gibsons.
