    '70s Classic Strat

This guitar definitely as the look, feel and sound of an early '70s Fender. However, the build quality is top notch, which the '70s Fenders were not always known for. The setup was perfect and it was literally plug and play. As for tone, the pickups in this model do not have the bell like tone that Strats are known for, but it is a little more aggressive sounding. If you are looking for a true to the era '70s Strat, this is it in a nutshell.

This guitar takes me back in time!

I asked my personal sales rep, Brock, to help me find a guitar that matched my 1979 American Deluxe Strat that I had played from 1979 until 2001.
This guitar is just as I wanted, and took me back to my younger days as a pro musician. The same exact features as my old baby. I will play this guitar until the day I die. And as for customer service, Sweetwater excels. I have nothing but praise for the entire organization. Guitar Center is no longer my favorite. Sweetwater rocks!!
    Thanks to you all!!

    Best strats ever!!!!

I currently own 4 of these classic series 70s Strats. I love the big CBS head stocks and the classic finish options . The pickups are ok but with any Strat you can easily change them out. One thing I wish that these came with were jumbo frets. Though the period correct vintage style ones play just fine once you get used to them. Overall these Strats are great quality. Don't let the 3 bolt neck scare you off because unlike some of the originals these are rock solid! I wish Fender Mexico would do a reissue of an 68 Strat with a maple cap neck, but if you want the CBS Strat look and modern quality for a fair price this is your Strat!

    Seriously... A bag....

A gig bag. I want to purchase this for my father's 63rd birthday, he had an original back when dinosaurs roamed, but at 900 bucks this comes with a bag? Come on Fender. As a child I don't recall his strat because it was always in a hardshell case. We've got to preserve!!!!!
