    Man! One SWEET Strat!

Vintage! Vintage! Vintage! If you haven't figured it out by now, this is a vintage spec Stratocaster. But not only that, but its a well built vintage spec Strat. I'm very pleased with this guitar. Thank you Fender!

    my life is

    it's so hot

I love this guitar! I love every thing in this guitar, and it's so stupid, cause actually I have a very sensitive ear and I literally hate any kind of noises!! but when it comes to strats, you know, those noises becomes cool, bad***, old sport!! ...
the other thing is shape of the neck, I can't understand why it is so hard to find thick necks? almost all of Fender products comes with a "modern C" neck, why? they should make some of their standard models with fat necks. it's true that fat necks are not a favorite for most of players, but there is people with big palms and long fingers that not comfortable with thin necks at all. ...
this is a lovely guitar, but totally not for everyone, it's a vintage, with no modern future, no locking tuners, no super-silent-EMG pickups, no crazy bomber whammy bar, no 36 ultra-Jumbo frets, no fiber carbon or turbo-charger!! so if you have an eye on those things go for something else, if you want something that those science-shit not have, if you looking for a soul, this is it, to me this is the "Red Violin" (you saw the movie! right?) and I hope fender never produce more of these things, cause I think people don't deserve it! (I mean not you, but others!!)

A Legend of a Guitar and a Legendary Sound

Let me first say that the first one I received was damaged, but thanks to Kent and the entire Sweetwater family, another was soon shipped out. I could not be happier with the feel, the look and the more so, the sound of this guitar. I can just imagine opening the box in 1954 and pulling this guitar out and plugging it in for the first time. What an unbelievable quality musical instrument. If you're intending to purchase this as a collector's item, don't. Play it. You're doing yourself and the guitar a disservice by not playing it. I couldn't be happier with this guitar!

    Fender Time Machine

As a young boy I use to lay on my bed with a nearly worn out Fender catalog laid out before my eyes. I dreamed of the day when I would be old enough to own a brand new Fender Stratocaster 'Spanish' Guitar with the neat tremolo arm and Tweed and leather guitar case. That was 57 years ago. Fast forward to today and over all these many years I have owned many guitars, including at least 12 Stratocasters. I just purchased this 1954 60th anniversary Strat and it seems like I have been catapulted back in time. This guitar is the most beautiful and best sounding Strat I have ever owned. The completely remade '54 pickups have a tone quality like I haven't heard in many a year. They bring out a warmth and depth and shine that has brought to life all my Fender amplifiers, reminding me of the tones I enjoyed listening to as a young musician in my early teens. The Ash body resonates with warm beautiful sustain. This guitar continues to exceed all of my expectations and has captured, for me at least, a piece of history and the sound of an era that meant so much to me as a young musician. Fender once again has come through with this fantastic 1954 60th Anniversary American Vintage Stratocaster. I am exceedingly grateful to my Sweetwater rep, Wayne Davis, for putting me on the waiting list as soon as I heard this model was going to be offered and Wayne came through as promised. Not only is this guitar a great investment (only 1,954 guitars being built) but a dream to play and listen to or just admire. My brother in law, who is a long time guitar player and huge Fender man himself, was blown away by the beauty, sound and playability of this guitar. If you want a piece of that history and want to see what Leo Fender created that literally rocked the guitar world 60 years ago, you must get this '54 Fender icon. Thanks again to Sweetwater Sound for making this 'time capsule' event possible for me and for Fender Inc., which have kept me inspired all these many years. And if you're up there, Leo, great job on creating my most favorite guitar of all time, the Fender Stratocaster.
