Program it? Absurd. Live? MUST have hands-on

Device? Flexible, big. Sweetwater? Wonderfully helpful as always. Manual, & programming it? Kick yourself 'til you barf. We bought this so a band member could use a Behringer 1010 footswitch to change scenes while continuing to perform. We'd had an Obey 40; this worked fine. However, it died, losing all programs so we wanted something that could save its memory. You think Obey 40s are hard to program? RUN from this (far less Youtube help also). After reading the manual & hours searching youtube & never being able to make it change scenes from a MIDI input like its little brother did, I called their support. Apparently (though there's no clue ANYWHERE) it can't do this. IF you have a smart dedicated light operator, it will do lots, which is why I didn't give it a 0. But the total ridiculousness of programming it & its manual led to 1.5. We now have an ADJ DMX 192; does far less but much easier to program, and saves them (the next step up ADJ 384 WON'T, go figure). BTW NONE of these fit in their claimed rack spaces because they're really tabletop units and the plugs stick straight up, a 3 "space" unit requires at least 5 spaces, and the "6" space needs 8.
