most people get this wrong. please check the Neutrik web site for info neutrik makes these and NL4MC is male and NL4FC are female and a NL4MMX is a male coupler

This is not a male to male coupler as the picture shows. It's a female to female coupler. The speakon cables themselves have the male ends.
