Stereo Sound from a Single Cabinet!

An update of the acclaimed SFX100 powered speaker, the Center Point Stereo Spacestation V.3 allows you to construct an otherworldly 300-degree sound field utilizing a single cabinet. Typically, speakers produce an unpredictable stereo image that fluctuates, depending on the listener's position. Conversely, the Spacestation V.3 creates a stereo sound field that emanates from a stable central point, so your audience will hear the same mix, regardless of where they're sitting. Ideal for amplifying stereo sources such as keyboards or full mixes, the Spacestation V.3 kicks out enough power for live performances in small to mid-sized venues. Sweetwater has always been impressed by these powered speakers and we're glad that the Center Point Stereo Spacestation V.3 has arrived!

Center Point Stereo Spacestation V.3 Powered Stereo Speaker at a Glance:
  • Center Point Stereo (CPS) "magic" provides stereo sound from a single cabinet
  • Width control lets you tailor your sound for the room
  • Updated for improved power and a finely-tuned sound
Center Point Stereo (CPS) "magic" provides stereo sound from a single cabinet

By electronically encoding the stereo left and right signals to be mid (L+R) and side (L-R) signals, then decoding them acoustically by means of a front and side dipole-powered speaker array, the Spacestation V.3 is able to create an expansive, three-dimensional sound field. In fact, the Spacestation V.3's sound field is so vast, its "sweet spot" is everywhere - even around corners and in adjacent rooms! CPS technology was actually awarded a utility patent by the US Patent and Trademark Office, meaning that it is truly a unique, innovative, one-of-a-kind feature. This groundbreaking technology is only available from Center Point Stereo!

Width control lets you tailor your sound for the room

Center Point Stereo understands that every room is different. It's not reasonable to expect that an effect that works well in one venue will work equally as well in another. That's why the Spacestation V.3 features a width control for optimizing the stereo effect to compensate for differences in room acoustics. If you're performing outdoors or in a dead space, you need more width to create a believable three-dimensional sound field. If you're performing in a live or highly-reflective space, you need less width to prevent a washed-out sound. The Spacestation V.3 also features a subwoofer output in case you need more low-end for very large or bass-deficient venues.

Updated for improved power and a finely-tuned sound

As groundbreaking as the previous SFX100 was, there was still room for improvement. The new Spacestation V.3 is more efficient, yet more powerful than its predecessor. As a result of a new active electronic crossover and two 40-watt amps for the mid driver and super tweeter, the Spacestation V.3 is effectively tri-amped! Additionally, the Spacestation V.3's eight-inch Eminence speaker provides better low-end response than its forerunner, due to the presence of a poly cone and foam surround. The Spacestation V.3's mid driver has also been upgraded. Finally, the Spacestation V.3 sports new Speaker Contour controls for fine-tuning your sound.

Center Point Stereo Spacestation V.3 Powered Stereo Speaker Features:
  • Stereo sound from one cabinet provides big sound in a convenient package
  • Stereo Width control lets you tailor your sound for the venue
  • 3-way tri-amp front speaker for power and efficiency
  • Speaker Contour controls for fine-tuning your sound
  • Subwoofer output for maximum performance in large or bass-deficient venues
  • Compact and lightweight for easy transport and setup
  • Includes cover

Simply Amazing

This is just what I was looking for. I'm a worship leader that plays keyboard and sings. I will be using this from small to midsize venues, conference rooms. churches etc. My keyboard is the Korg Kronos LS 88 which I also love and purchased from Sweetwater! As matter of fact all the gear I mentioned here I purchased from Sweetwater. There service is the best! I would recommend reading all the info you can get to properly know how to get the most out of this speaker. I also purchased the Behringer B1200D to go with this unit. They are a match made in heaven! I highly recommend the combo! The other thing I was looking for was a light weight amp and both of these guys fall into this category. If I'm ministering in anything larger than the usual I can just pipe it thru the sound system. This setup is like having a mini PA. It's powerful, full, very spacious and it's true what they say the sound field is everywhere. I couldn't be happier also I forgot to mention I also purchased a small Allen Heath mixer (Zed 10FX) to go with this setup Make sure you get a mixer that has sweepable midrange and not just the fixed 2.5k range. It will give you more control over the mids seeing the Space-station v3 is flat and that's what you want. I highly recommend this speaker. Go buy it!

Much better as pair

I bought the Space Station V3 first in 2016 for my Roland Vr09. It was quite good to focus (Leslie) sounds. It works with aplomb. I got a Roland RD 2000 in 2018. One V3 tended to sound unbalanced, but I ordered my second one and that created a surround sound experience, more fitting for a piano sound. Of course everything else in my synth set sounds bigger and better with two. I recommend the Aspen Pittman Space Station V3 for keyboard players.

Pittman Spacestation

I'm not a Peo, but I sure like the sounds od my new hammond SK1 are produced very realistically by the Spacestation.

Awesome Amp

I have been playing in a classic rock outfit with my Yamaha MODX and Hammond XK3c using a pair of Roland KC-350 amps, not particularly for stereo, but for the power. I tried equalizers and such to try to flatten out the response on the KC's, but even at their best they sounded boxey - like playing through a bass amp.

Since I run a DI to the main board, I didn't really need a ton of volume, but I needed to be able to hear myself and have enough sound on stage that my bandmates could hear me. The "sub out" output sends a full signal (mixed to mono) which goes to the FOH system.

I did research and asked my rep Cristian if he thought the V.3 would fit my needs or if I should go up to the XL - and if they would sound better than moving over to PA type speakers like QSC. Based on his recommendation, I got the V.3 and I could not be happier.

Pros:

* this amp is so clear and flat on frequency that I don't even put any EQ in the signal path. My piano sounds awesome, particularly in the lower registers (1-2 octaves below middle C). The Hammond sounds great and seems much better balanced treb/bass than before.

* It is plenty loud and I am not using but about 50-60% of what it can do. No need to go up to the XL unless you are playing very large venues without running through the PA.

* the guys in the band say that my sound is much more clear and balanced

* the size factor is incredible. So small and light!

Con:

* no mixer and only two inputs. So, I just put a small mixer in front so that I can mix my stereo outputs from the keyboards to a L/R feed, Not a big deal, but worth noting.

I put this on a small amp stand so it is tilted back and that disperses the sound nicely in the rehearsal studio. I can hear it fine and it doesn't have an adverse impact on the bass response. Speaking of which, these are actually MUCH better at low notes (like pipe organ bass or low synth tones) that the pair of KC's with 2 - 12" woofers between them. The low notes used to break up - not with the V.3. I am amazed.

I highly recommend this amp to any keyboard player.

Stunning depth and clarity

I only write reviews when I really have something to say. OK, I really have something to say.

I just received my A-P Spacestation V.3 and took it for my first test drive at practice last night, straight in from my Nord Electro 5D. It feels like I've unlocked the potential of the keyboard. The depth of sound, with no loss of clarity, made everybody in the band sit up and listen. Not surprisingly, I heard the biggest differences on richly layered patches, like my go-to Rhodes voice. The B3 patch was very full, both on slow and fast Leslie, and even the 60s organs (Vox and Farfisa) were expansive. There was less added punch to straight piano patches, but mixing in a little stereo pad under the piano filled out the sound nicely. I couldn't stop grinning.

It's amazing what you can get out of a single cabinet. Compared to my QSC K10 -- well, there's no comparison, and there's no going back. The sound was full and even up and down the 73 keys; no need for a subwoofer for my purposes. I can't imagine a better all-around keyboard amp. Thanks, Aspen-Pittman!
