The Cordoba Solista Flamenca nylon-string acoustic guitar is handcrafted in the classic Spanish flamenco tradition for an unbelievably dynamic and tonally rich playing experience. The Solista Flamenca's top is crafted from the finest European spruce, while the bassy and robust cypress back and sides complement the presence of the spruce for an overall rich and complex tonality. Every nuance of your playing is captured, no matter how dynamically you play. The Solista Flamenca's Spanish cedar neck is even reinforced with ebony for maximum vibration and stability. The neck has the same shallow/flat angle of the best flamenco guitars. And Cordoba's attention to detail is apparent in the Solista Flamenca, from the intricately braided purfling to the rosewood binding. If you want a nylon-string guitar that you'll want to play for a lifetime, get the Cordoba Solista Flamenca.

Classic craftsmanship:

The Cordoba Solista Flamenca shows that the best way to make a guitar truly sing is to respect classical construction techniques that have been tried-and-true through the years. The Solista Flamenca features classic Spanish fan bracing for the top, for an open and lively sound that is robust yet tonally balanced. The Spanish cedar neck is reinforced with ebony for maximum vibration transfer and stability.

Premium tonewoods:

Cordoba knows that quality construction can't replace quality tonewoods, so the Solista Flamenca has solid cypress back and sides with a solid European spruce top. The combination of spruce and cypress creates an extraordinarily wide frequency response with a bright, snappy sound, perfect for flamenco style.

Elegant details:

Cordoba's attention to detail is eminent in the Solista Flamenca. The natural lacquer finish perfectly highlights the Indian rosewood binding and complex purfling. The premium gold tuners that adorn the hand carved headstock not only look great with their black ebony buttons, they'll provide the ultra-stable tuning that you'd expect from a premium instrument.

All around great nylon

I've had this for about 2 months now and am very happy. I perform Flamenco, Classical, and Jazz professionally and I partially use this on all of my gigs. This is mic'd using an Audio Techica Pro 70. It works on my gypsy swing guitar best but does well on the Solista. The guitar was setup well from the shop. However, I really did not like the pick guard so I took that off. There was a significant difference in how the top piece resonated after the removal. I feel there is enough lacquer to protect it without the guard but just wipe any hand oils off after you play. I also put on a set of Traditional High Tension Savarez strings. They are much better than the medium classical Savarez that were on there. The European Spruce is not for everyone. I would suggest that only players that have experience in using a wide range of dynamics should play on this. This guitar does not "fill" the room like cedar but certainly can "project" itself very well. I'd take the latter any day. The tone is wonderful and I can hear this come to life as the wood open opens up. This will be a good experience seeing the instrument mature over the years as it will be well worth the money over time. This responds well to hard and fast playing. I've never been able to play with such a wide range of dynamics before. I can get this guitar to be very loud and can keep up with my violinist, when acoustic, in the right space. Overall, very nice, worth the money, love the spruce smell, great looks and construction, and the guitar case is top notch.

Starting with the customer service which has been more than excellent by sweetwater, attention to detail in my order, fast delivery ( arrived a day earlier). Comes with a humicase which is perfect for my needs ( i live in a very dry environment) , easy to use, a little heavy but totally worth it. Now, the guitar.. Its too early to say since the tone and projection will evolve as the guitar ages and the top vibrates but so far so good.. Beautiful design. Flexible sound, quick response. Strings are, for me, a little too far apart from the neck and the neck itself could be more squared shape but thats just me.. Ill leave another review in 6 months describing the evolution of sound. For what i can tell it has potential of giving 20- 35% more sound and sustain that it initially gives after a few months of use.
