Samson Servo 600 Power Amplifier Reviews

2-channel Power Amplifier, 2 x 300W at 4 Ohms, with Relay-controlled Power-on, Variable-speed Fan Cooling

Samson doesn't "just" manufacture some of the finest wireless systems in the world. They also make great power amps, like the high quality, very affordable Servo Series. These compact, durable amps pack a lot of punch and are versatile enough for both live and studio applications. All three models include circuitry protection against overheating and over current, and the Servo 200, 300 and 600 feature relay-controlled power-on circuitry that prevents speaker "thumps." To keep the Servo Series amplifiers running cool, their design employs twin internal wind tunnels with forced-air cooling via two temperature-sensitive, variable speed fans, which greatly reduce the chance of thermal and overheating problems. The sound is clean, powerful and transparent. This is truly professional sound at a price anyone can afford.

Servo 600 It's better than I hoped for.

By Tim H. from Mississippi on November 1, 2007 Music Background: Southern Gospel group owner/ sound engineer/ sound reinforcement provider

I have used Samson products for over 5 years (power amps, powered mixers, powered subs, airline wireless, and mics,). Never a failure, never a problem! I bought a Servo 600 a few months back for monitor use. It served well enough that I have tried it out for front of house use in armories, churches and the like, only to have better sound quality than I have ever had with Peavey amps.
This unit really does a good job with monitors and front of house in small to small/mid-size venues. I have used it with 4 medium foh speakers and with 2 quality foh speakers like yamaha s115v and Peavey sp5. It really performs well with quality speakers. Samson equipment is built really rugged and will hold up well to travel. It has impressed me to the point I am shifting over to all Samson.

Not what they used to be

We've used Sampson amps for years. They've always had great sound and durability for the price. Unfortunately, this model has not lived up to our expectations. We've had two amps of this model die within two years of purchase, while the older Sampson amps are still working great.
