Focusrite Saffire Pro 26 Reviews

    I love it

I have been looking for a way to simplify and streamline my home recording set up and the Saffire Pro 26 is just what the doctor ordered. This one compact unit has taken the place of my old audio interface AND my mixer. I was concerned the mix control software would not work with my Snow Leopard OS. I used the Saffire Mix control 3.4 software and it worked just fine. Right out of the box, I was up and recording in minutes. The unit arrived on my birthday which was really cool. I was really impressed with the sound quality coming in and out of this unit. It has just the right amount of inputs and monitoring capabilities for my needs. Since my recording needs are simple, I was glad to eliminate my mixer. One box to rule them all.

    Sooo worth it!

I uorqded from my old firepod 10's. The sound is great, the plugins it came with work. It was much easier setting this up with pro tools. Had a little issue with no inputs being shown in pro tools. Seemed to have fices itself when I plugged a mic in. Display is nice. Sound is very clear. All around, worth every penny!

    Focusrite Saffire Pro 26

I purchased this unit to replace my FireStudio Project that decided to suddenly quit working. I love it and could not be more impressed. The ease of installation / ease of use with this interface is amazing, as is the amount of clean sound it produces. Being a beginner to home recording is quite daunting to say the least, but this interface is so user friendly, so well built, and so well equipped with the features you need that anyone...beginner like me or seasoned studio professional...can utilize it to their fullest potential. I use Studio One Professional and the Ableton Live 9 Lite that was included, and am more than pleased with what it can do with both. You cannot go wrong with this interface, especially at this price.

    Great interface!

I love this interface! Lots of features, very flexible and great sounding pres. I'm running Logic Pro 9 and X - seamless integration and no problems. The Saffire Mix software is very cool, too.

    Focusrite Saffire Pro 26

I recently owned another Focusrite interface (Scarlett 2i2) and was very satisfied with the product but was in need of a few more outputs. While on the hunt for a new interface I couldn't seem to find a middle ground of a decent amount of outputs, low latency, not a lot of features, and a solid price. I stumbled upon the Saffire Pro 26 and saw a lot of what I needed and then some for an amazing price. I use this interface for live use and recording running Ableton Live and have zero latency issues. The bus powered firewire is a great feature but the a/c adaptor is definitely recommended if phantom power is being used. The interface is very straight forward and easy to use/set up. The bundles of additional downloads that I got were also great quality for no extra charge. What really blew me away were the pre amps. A ton of clarity and plenty of signal. And there's four of them which is awesome. Would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for an inexpensive home or live interface with no latency and a decent amount of ins and outs.

    Nice piece of kit

I bought this Saffire Pro 26 to replace an aging Digi002r interface I've had for over a decade. The 26 took over for the 002r quite handily connecting on the same Firewire buss, taking up less room with more than enough inputs and outputs for my studio setup and a step up in mic-pre quality as well. I had a bit of a learning curve with the Saffire MixControl software that sets up different signal routing on the 26 for different purposes and that took some getting used to but now that I have it down it's pretty handy. Focusrite tech support was excellent in helping me get straightened out and Sweetwater's sale price made it a win-win all around. I am delighted with the quality of the Pro 26 and I look forward to many years of recording thru it.

    Mobile recording

I purchased this interface to be able to record at a live location. The Focusrite preamps recorded great as expected. Appleton Live software took a while to figure out.
