Take the Stage by Storm with this Ibanez Beauty!

Here's a guitar that combines great looks, mahogany-body tone and humbucker pickups! The new Ibanez SZ720FM is an evolutionary instrument, but that doesn't mean it's complicated. In fact, the SZ720FM is an even simpler instrument than its famous S Series ancestor. The comfortable slim body with fat mahogany tone and sustain that made the S famous is there - but the Ibanez SZ720FM features a simple fixed bridge for tonal clarity and a 25.1" scale neck that plays easier.

Ibanez SZ720FM Guitar at a Glance:
  • Fat tone and great sustain from mahogany body with flamed maple top
  • Classic humbucker sound from Seymour Duncan-designed pickups
  • Better upper fret access with mahogany set-in neck
  • Superior tonal balance from string-through-body design and fixed bridge

Fat tone and great sustain from mahogany body with maple top
You know how a great mahogany-body guitar sounds. The Ibanez SZ720FM offers a solid mahogany body that's meatier than its S-Series ancestor to serve up an astonishingly full tone with a wide range of overtones. Plus, the SZ720FM adds a flamed maple top for a distinctive look and an extra tonal quality all its own.

Classic humbucker sound from Seymour Duncan-designed pickups
Ibanez fitted the SZ720FM with U.S.A.-made Seymour Duncan/IBZ pickups for another new level of warm, fat, powerful tone. These Ibanez pickups are well matched and you'll get awesome harmonics and squeals coming from almost anywhere on the neck. Wind the SZ720FM's volume control back a touch when strumming full chords, and you'll clearly every note ringing. This guitar is a perfect setup for both lead and rhythm playing. The SZ720FM has a great tone for recording!

Better upper fret access with 3-piece set-in neck
The Ibanez SZ720FM features a set-in neck, which provides greater sustain and easier upper register playing. The mahogany neck delivers great feel and a ringing tone. The attention to detail in this set-in neck makes for a beautiful join with the smoothness and look of a "neck-through" guitar. Ibanez gave the SZ320 a 25.1" scale, slightly shorter and easier to play than the original S Series. The SZ720FM's neck is complemented by a bound rosewood fingerboard, graced by special SZ inlays.

Superior tonal balance from string-through-body design and fixed bridge
The Ibanez SZ720FM uses graduated string-post heights and through-body stringing to provide equalized string tension, precise articulation, and an
all around great feel. Through-body stringing also provides superior tonal balance and sustain. A new Gibraltar III bridge gives the SZ720FM fixed-bridge simplicity and increases sustain. Plus, there are no sharp edges, which makes for longer string life and playing comfort.
