Behringer Eurodesk SX2442FX Mixer with Effects Reviews
The Behringer Eurodesk SX2442FX 18-channel mixer gives you an incredible amount of capability for the price. You'll be able to handle any mixing task with 16 Xenyx mic preamps, 4-band EQs on each channel, four aux sends per channel, and four mix groups. The SX2442FX even features dual effects processors, with 99 effects presets covering reverb, delay, chorus, and more. There are insert points on each channel, group, and bus for adding external processors. The intuitive layout makes this an ideal mixer for schools or churches that rely on volunteers to run sound, and the main output LED meters make it easy to keep your signal levels where they need to be. If you need a large format mixer, the Behringer Eurodesk SX2442FX 18-channel mixer is a serious value.

Solid Recommendation
We are a four piece rock band playing rock and needed an expanded board for drum and instrument inputs. We replaced a Yamaha with the Behringer.
After two weeks use in practice settings, I'm particularly impressed by the clarity of signal. The output just sounds cleaner than it did with the Yamaha. The effects bus off some interesting options as well. The on board reverb is a keeper.
The layout is logical. Finding what you need on the fly is pretty easy. (We don't have a dedicated sound person)
We haven't used the Behringer in liver performance yet. I'll provide an update if there are other findings to share.
WELL worth the money!
i know people slam Behringer for being low quality. DO NOT BELIEVE IT! I have been using this mixer for a live country music show/band for seven years now. I have nothing but good things to say about it. It is everything that we need and it has never let us down. For the dollar spent, this mixer has delivered over and above what we ask.
Just this year we have run into two issues that need to be corrected. One channel xlr input is dead. I'm guessing this will be an easy fix of swapping out for a new input. Another channel has some noise in the fader. I'm guessing it just needs a good cleaning. After our tour season, I will take it in for an over haul, and then it will be back on the road with us for next year.
VERY happy with this mixer.
I couldn't be happier....
The only way I could be happier with this mixer is if it came with a complete set of dancing girls! I have always been reluctant to review any product until I have used it for a while to see how it holds up. I have been using this mixer for three years now and I have no problem giving it high marks. We are a professional working band and travel throughout the mid-west and sometimes the south-west of the country. We have performed for crowds of 100-10,000. We have never had an issue with this mixer. It is stored and hauled in our equipment trailer in an appropriate flight case, and it still looks like new. We power the FOH with a 4000 power amp and the monitors with a 2000 power amp. The control panel has a logical layout. Everything in the band (three vocal mics, two guitar amps, bass, fiddle/mando/pedal steel, and drum kit) are routed through this mixer. Pre-color coding all of our connector cables makes the set up time on this mixer less than fifteen minutes. We have talked about going to a digital system, but I am reluctant to give up on the sure thing that we have in this mixer.
Nice mixer!
Purchased this Behringer mixer for my new home studio. It is larger than I immediately need, but I'm sure the additional channels will be used in short order. I've used Behringer mixers in the past and have always found them to be both economical and reliable. Very pleased with this unit.

flexible and fantastic sound
I have installed this mixer at home now where I do have a small room that is adopted to a real mini live studio , this thing rocks ! , I do use it probably different than many other sound freaks and fellows , it is connected to 2 Technics SL 1200 record players ( with pre amp ) , I have two desk top computers with MP3 play back DJ software and about 10,000 songs each , ONE other desk top with a 1 TB hard drive to be used as recorder , two Teac PD 200 CD players are hooked up as well ,
I have a Denon smart receiver as amp in my room , powered by Polk audio speaker stands and two polk sub woofers ,
the beauty is that anywhere else in and around the house I have audio systems as well and the great feature of this mixer for me is the use of the sub groups , you can play different music over different areas
the big kick however is the great sound this mixer produces , and how easy and logic everything is laid out
if I put on a live recorded CD or anything from any music source I have , with the effects you can dial in , you realy are in the middle of a huge concert as it sounds like ,
great product ! , I am very happy with the performance of the Eurodesk so far ,

Loving it!
So far I'm loving this board! I pastor a new church in the inner city so we are limited in our finances. Behringer is very affordable. The Effects sound great, the tone is warm with I love and the layout is easy to understand. I will be purchasing other equipment from Behringer and Sweetwater.com!
Economical and does the job
I have owned this mixer for about six years and I haven't had any problems I love all the features
Actual Behringer User
I'm happy to see Sweetwater giving Behringer a chance. I actually have owned this board. Behringer has taken some knocks from a lot of folks, but I have owned numerous pieces of Behringer equipment without any problems. This particular board offers outstanding features. I used one for two years with a gospel group with 3 singers plus musicians playing live venues. Never had a problem. When you consider the number of inputs, mixer channels, dual effects, and routing capabilities of this board you simply can't touch another board with this many features at this price. I used this board in conjunction with a Behringer dual 31 band EQ, (one for mains and one for monitors)split into two Behringer 3000 watt power amps driving Samson 215 mains, using 4 Peavey PR-12's for monitors. The sound was exceptionally clean. The power is not about volume, but about headroom. I also had a Behringer 4 channel compressor inserted on the vocal channels. We always got great compliments on the sound. Granted, good vocalist help, because you can't fix bad vocals regardless of how much you pay for equipment. The dual effects are easy to use and with separate controls allowing feeds to main or into monitors the board is well configured for live use. Given Sweetwater's extended warranty and history of service, you can't go wrong with at least trying this board before you pay twice as much to get the same features on competitors boards.
Nice board
Very nice board, love the built in compression feature. Wish it had the socket for the board light though.
