BAD ***

This is the smoothest and easiest guitar I have ever played. The tones you can get with this thing are amazing. And it just looks bad***

i used to have two basses

I had my eyes on these for a long time. I finally found one at a great price and jumped on it. I now only have one bass. I sold my ibanez that had been my pride and joy for years. Once I adjusted to the new neck shape any time I went back to play my beloved ibanez I would be disappointed in the lack of tone. The full, rich, deep tones from the studio are beautiful. I have played with other brands and some of the pricier brands, this bass is right there with them. I love the shape, the comfort standing and sitting, and THE TONE!!!

Great Bass, Price Inflated.

This is an excellent bass and sounds about as good as you'll ever really need a bass to sound. This model has some things that lesser basses are missing, such as a mid-control knob and neck-thru design. The mid-control knob is really handy and the neck-thru design gives it massive sustain. The beefy EMG active humbuckers and an active EQ section require two 9-volt batteries. The satin finish requires very little maintenance.I picked up this bass sometime in the late '00s. It did not cost $800. I think I paid $629 or $649. The price it's at now puts me into a bit of sticker-shock that I'm sure is just out of the reach of many players' budgets. I don't think I would have gotten it at that time if I saw this price on it. I've noticed inflation on other brands as well and I'm very glad I have the basses that I have and got them when I did.Great sound, easy to play, reliable, and attractive. Make an honest effort to find a used one.
