    Winner!

This did the trick! Put in a new Chapman ML-3 Traditional with a Hot Rail in the neck. Dead ended the white and red wires together because your only going to get one tone from a stacked pup. And I got to say that one tone nailed my objective! It's that classic fat twang with extra power to drive your amp, not thin and ice picky like the stock pups. It will make your jaw drop with that WOW factor. The Hot Rail balanced great with the Vintage Stack to cover all music from country twang to heavy metal and everything between.

Frankly not much to say about this pickup except for 1 word: WOW!!
This may very well be the ultimate Telecaster bridge pickup.
Dead silent, "ballsy" & killer twangy Tele tone for days.
Been playing 30 years & have played with regional & national acts.
I use to be a HUGE fan of EMG Tele pickups......but not anymore.
This is THE ONLY Tele bridge pickup I can recommend.
My advice: buy this pickup & prepare to be blown the hell away.
    It's THAT good!

I installed this pickup in a 1974 tele custom and was completely satisfied with the quality sound it has brought back. The support from your staff has been excellent. Sweetwater customer forever.

Seymour Duncan STK-T3b Vintage Lead Stack Bridge Pickup (Black)

Love this pickup, I am using this pickup with a gretsch filtertron neck pickup on a custom built tele style guitar and they blend very nice togeather. I have a 4-way switch and the series position is great also.I play finger and thumb style and I love the blend.

    Neither Vintage, nor Musical

I bought this pickup largely based on the other, very positive reviews supplied here. So much for blind faith. This pickup is indeed dead silent. And that's about it's only good point. Anyone in search of authentic "Vintage" tone will be sorely disappointed by the incredibly generic and characterless sound imparted by this unit. I don't know what Duncan was using as a tone model, but either he had a very poor original or has very poor ears. I'm beginning to believe that it's probably the latter, as this isn't the first Duncan I've heard that fell far short of the intended mark (the exception was his Pearly Gates humbucker). It'll be the last Duncan I ever try. The lows are just ok, the highs lacking in weight, but it's the crucial mids of this pickup that are completely missing in authentic Tele tone/twang. There is a compressed quality to the sound that simply kills the dynamic of what Teles are all about. The whole vibe of the pickup is just wrong. Please don't waste your good money and time. This ones going back.
