Reviews have helped me. Hopefully this will help you?

I listed the pros and cons below. When I decided to buy this bass I thought for just under $1,000 I would be getting a real player. Well as I mentioned below you can't access the whole neck because of the cut away blocks your hand. Why any company would build instruments like this? I'll never understand and it doesn't make any sense to me. Even though it is a 6 string it should be balanced properly and it isn't even close. You would think after all the years that Ibanez has been manufacturing basses they would have solved these basic design flaws by now. How a bass plays and how it sounds is more important to me than looks. So I wouldn't recommend this bass to anyone. If you're willing to sacrifice how it plays for looks? Then you'll be happy with this bass. Pros: Good looking bass. Very acceptable bass tone. Cons: The balance of this bass isn't very good. You can see "orange peel" in the high gloss. The cut away is too tight blocking your hand from accessing the whole neck. You can't even access the 24th fret on the C string. They designed the neck overly thin in portions of the neck causing unnecessary strain and fatigue. Tuning machines do not hold the bass in tune very well. Needs to be tuned constantly!!!
