I am a very particular consumer, but I liked the price point (as this is a backup for my magical Sadowsky 5 string.) How often do you use a backup after-all?
Anyway, it showed up (with an outstanding fit and finish). While I prefer a flatter neck to fit my hand, this C shape neck was doable and the tone was very, very good. I run it thru GK heads and amps.
Bandmates were quite impressed with the overall experience and it is a keeper. I would buy the unit again if this one went walk-away. I would love to have a high-end Lakland or a second Sadowsky, but I live in reality. For experienced and picky bass players, it will get the job done.
I am old school (P-Bass use for years), but I rolled the dice to have a second 5 string ready to go to just in case. Moreover , it works for me in rehearsal as it has nice balance and weight. I just wish the neck was more to my liking. Otherwise, it would have a top grade rating.
