Gig-worthy Tone and Performance

Whether you slap, pick, or pluck, the Ibanez SR1300 four-string electric bass guitar will serve you well onstage for years. You can expect the high-quality five-piece wenge/bubinga neck to play straight and true for decades, resisting warping and twisting thanks to its KTS titanium rods. Big, punchy tone abounds from a pair of Nordstrand Big Single pickups, with powerful tone shaping offered by the custom 3-band EQ. Bass players at Sweetwater especially dig the Mono-rail bridge, which isolates each string for maximum articulation and note definition. If you're a gigging bass player, you should definitely check out the Ibanez SR1300 bass guitar.

Ibanez SR1300 4-string Electric Bass Guitar at a Glance:
  • Precision made with great tonewoods
  • Great tone from Nordstrand pickups
  • Mono-rail bridge enhances definition
Precision made with great tonewoods

Ibanez makes some very fine instruments, and the SR1300 bass is no exception. Ibanez chose a mahogany body for exceptional low-end impact and rich sustain. It's finished with an ash/walnut top, a striking look that also enhances your tone. And the five-piece wenge/bubinga neck with KTS titanium rods doesn't just look great, it's incredibly strong to resist warping and twisting over the years.

Great tone from Nordstrand pickups

Whether you're playing slap-heavy funk or warmly muted reggae tones, the SR1300's pair of Nordstrand Big Single pickups has you covered. These pickups have a rich and solid character to them, with powerful sound-shaping potential from the onboard 3-band EQ controls. You have control over boost/cut for bass, mid, and high frequencies, with a mid-frequency switch to fine-tune your midrange tone.

Mono-rail bridge enhances definition

At Ibanez, there's genius in the details. Like the SR1300's innovative Mono-rail bridge with locking saddles, which allows each string to fully vibrate without any interference with the other strings. That means that no matter how fast you play across the strings, each note will ring clear and true.

Ibanez SR1300 4-string Electric Bass Guitar Features:
  • Fast-playing bass with premium tonewoods
  • Gorgeous looks from the mahogany body topped with ash and walnut
  • Long-term reliability and stability from the 5-piece Atlas-4 wenge/bubinga neck
  • Awesome sustain and note separation from the Mono-rail bridge
  • Big, bold tone from Nordstrand Big Single pickups
  • Custom 3-band EQ for fine-tuning your tone
The Ibanez SR1300 is a premium performer!

Best Bass I have ever played on!

I have tried over 50 models of several brands, but this bass was for me personally by far the best one. Fender does not even come close to this playability. I have also played on the 5 string of this model, but it was different, I definitely prefer the 4 string. I don't want to start to talk about the sound, it is simply too good! The pick ups feel excellent. I needed a new bass for more general quality, especially for recordings and gigs. In my opinion this $1100 bass beats easily most of the more expensive ones, for example the Fender American Elite (tried of course a few of those) and Jazz Basses. To play on this bass you don't need to put any effort into your play, the neck allows your hand to flow naturally. You have plenty of options as well on the bass to find the tone you need.
