Great P-Bass pickup

Okay, so i really didnt buy this pickup because its a signature pickup, i bought it because Seymour Duncan makes awesome pickups and the only 2 passive seymour duncan p-bass pickups sweetwater had were this one and the quarter pound p-bass pickup and i liked the sound of this one better in the sound samples i heard online. This is a great all around pickup, its not just for metal guys. Its basically like a vintage style pickup but hotter, not too hot but hotter. Its a well balanced pickup and it sounds great with flatwound strings. I dont see how anyone could go wrong with this pickup, it can fit any style you need to play

They realm are the sound of the beast

Put these in a PBass strung with DR Flats and it is the real deal. You will cut right through the mix with these midrange heavy yet trebley biting and beefy bottomed pups.

this pup does it all!

I play several different styles, metal, 50’s thru 70’s pop, country, classic rock and I do some studio work. I have 3 different guitars (2 Warwick, Fender P) to cover all the different stuff. I was looking to just add more power to my ’98 P-bass; I got way more than I bargained for! This pup can handle everything I play with class, style and ease. It is hot, but not overkill. It adds definition to my tone so my bass is clearly heard in the live mix. It is not “hot” in the sense of volume; it just picks up all the natural tones of the guitar. I am seriously thinking of buying 2 more and modifying my other guitars to fit. Do yourself a favor, put this pup in your bass and let the people hear the talent your current pup is hiding! I could go on about this pup for another week, but I got to get back to playing!

Great All Around Pickup!

I have to admit, I had second thoughts about buying these pickups. I am not a huge fan of Iron Maiden, and I really didn't want some crazy, high output monster. Lucky for me, these pickups are amazingly versatile. To my ears, they are powerful but very smooth. I love the sound. I put these in my 1981 Ibanez Blazer, and it just brought it to life. The sound is passive for sure, but lots of low end with a crisp but not harsh attack. Great pickups!
