Killer Vocal Mic!

One of the most popular performance microphones around, the SM87 stands out because of the special lovin' it gives vocals. A three-stage pop filter virtually eliminates breath and wind noise, while a three-point shock mount takes care of any thumps, clunks and shrieks which might occur while you're messing around with the stand. With all this excess noise prevention, there's nothing to distract from your golden-throated brilliance.

Great mic

A little harsher than the SM58 as far as sibilance goes (which is easily removed with a deesser or EQ), but otherwise a much better mic. Lots of air and a full low end. Great for live.

Shure SM87 excellent for lead vocal live or recorded

I love this mic for either recording lead vocals or for live sound. It has a sweet top end and full-bodied low end. Sound as good as my KSM32.
