    A Must

An absolute must-buy with a Rode Large-diaphragm mic. absolutely no vibration at all. My only criticism is the mediocre stand mount. It's workable, but could be beefier and a bit taller.

    What you'd expect

It does what its suppose to do. Its made of plastic, but that doesn't make a difference to how it performs. I paid 40 for it, seems kinda pricey for plastic but I wanted to get the shock mount designed for my mic, not a third party mount. Overall good, just a bit pricey.

    Great for the Rode series

I bought one of these for my NTK mic; it is better than any other specialized shock mount I have used, including Telefunken and AKG Perception. The elastic tends to stay in place and the mic stand connection is very sturdy.
My only complaints are that the thing is a bit bulky, and the locking bar can get in a position where it is pushed against the mic stand clamp, which makes it hard to adjust.
Other than that, it is a good, sturdy product.

This is very nice shockmount. We purchased it to hold a Rode NT2A condenser mic, which it does very well.

    Plastic arm attachment, but...

Ok, I've had a Rode K2 for about 5 years now, and notwithstanding I've dropped the shockmount a time or two, the plastic arm broke and I'm about to have to get a new one. Not a problem, but I would think the plastic arm connecting the web mechanism and the screw receiver would be a little thicker. Overall, it's a much better shock mount that the one I previously had issues with, the Shure KSM 27 mount with the very cheap rubber strings which broke after only 2 years. You would think Shure would have utilized an actual elastic string instead of rubber string on their KSM 27 mounts.

    Rode shock mount SM2

I think the mount is a well built mount. My problem I have with it is they expect the microphone to just sit on top, but when I move my boom arm the microphone has the tendency to sway. They really need something to lock the microphone down, if they had it lock this mount would be perfect. Thank you, Ken.
