Great Value in an 8x4 Snake

Nicely made, everything as advertised. Main 100-foot run lightweight but robust. Was run over several times with a hard-wheeled JLG lift with no damage to any of the internal lines. Female XLR layout in the stage box is curious as the even-numbered pins face one way while the odd-numbered pins face 180 degrees opposite. Not a major issue but slightly disconcerting initially when patching on a dark stage.

Amoung the Best Value

I am a sound guy for many bands and have been doing summer gigs for many years. I run a 32 channel board and do a lot of horns and vocal mics. I bought another brand 16x4 snake and a Pro Co Stagemaster 8x4 about 7 years ago. The other brand snake started loosing channels after the second year but the Pro Co model is still going strong. I have gotten 2 additional 8x4 models over the past 3 years and don't use the 16x4 any more. I also find it much easier to manage the smaller cable of the 8x4 even though I need to run three and the two 8x4 cables are not as big as the original 16x4 model I was using. I haven't seen a failure yet with these snakes and would recommend them.
