Twin Sister Jackson Soloist SLXQ in Natural Finish! OMG!!!

Just received the twin sister of my Jackson Soloist SLXQ X-series in Natural Finish and brother what a superb job Jackson has done on this axe. Freaking phenomenal! In every way as my original post on the burnt cherry burst finish, this natural finished one just blazes. EMGs are killer as on my other one! And, thank you, thank you Jackson for putting on Dunlop strap locks factory installed. Wow, just an outstanding value axe. And, only Sweetwater had this bad boy in da house! Man that Guitar Gallery is the next best thing to Playboy!!!

Ferrari of electric guitars (Jackson Soloist SLXQ)

Never owned a Jackson and this is my first! In my opinion itís the Ferrari of electric guitars. Itís got a compound radius neck for killer fast attack and playing. Easy to chord and just plain get down with this guitar. Iíve never owned an axe with EMG pickups, and these sound great. I personally donít like popping batteries into a guitar to get a sound, and I doubt I ever will, but to me - these EMGs sound great. Comes with a Floyd Rose, not the blue blood one, but a fully functional, and it does stay in tune! I've wanged it pretty good and itís solid. I also had Sweetwater install some Dunlop strap locks for me and their cool too! And, I bought a Gator Strat style case for this axe and it fits great!

Finish is really nice, like the rosewood fret board with shark fin inlays. And the master tone and volume are silky smooth and very responsive. Overall, Iíve very pleased with this Jackson guitar, so much so Iím ordering the natural finish one. Its light weight, well balanced, and for the price itís my opinion nothing comes close for what Jackson is putting into this excellent axe. The new X Series for 2012 a fabulous axe, value, and all around high performing axe.

    Awesome for the money!

I agree with the reviewer below. It feels great out of the box but the EMGs have to go. I put a Dimarzio H2N (their highest output pickup) in the bridge position and a Chopper in the neck. The trem does need a brass block for added sustain and the intonation needed to be adjusted but it was close. Once those things are addressed, this guitar totally KICKS ***!!! It plays as nice as my USA Custom Soloist.
I plan to buy another in a different color.

    Jackson SLXQ

This guitar felt great from the minute I got it. Love the neck on these new X Series Jacksons! Ripped the EMJunk pickups out, put a TB-6 in the bridge, an SH-2 in the neck, and an oversized brass sustain block on the Floyd Rose Special, and now this guitar will rival any $2,000 Jackson out there. For the money, you just can't beat the new X Series Jacksons.
