    Awesome Pedal

I have always been a tube amp distortion guy at my live shows. At home I've been using the Eleven Rack for practice and always found myself going to the Soldano model. Given that a true Soldano amp is more than I want to spend for my once a month live gigging, I was trying to figure out how to get that tone in my live rig. My primary amp blew last year and was unrepairable, so a local amp builder offered to build me a custom amp. While he is working on it I picked up a vintage Fender Concert (Rivera era) because I love a good Fender clean tone. My search was then on to find a great distortion/crunch to pair with the Fender. I tried many pedals, but once I used the Wampler Slostortion at my show I was hooked. It has a full, rich sound with tons of (very sensitive) control options to dial in the tone. I got a ton of compliments on my tone last weekend at my gig. My only complaint is I wish there was a third button. I like to have a fat crunch, a sustaining solo sound, and a volume boost for soloing. This pedal has two out of three. While it can get just about any tone, I would love the ability to "switch channels" with a button. Overall though I'm extremely happy with this and will probably continue to use it with my custom amp.

    Wampler SLOstortion

I originally purchased the SLOstortion to run into my Fender Hot Rod Deville 212 as an additional channel for different types of distortion to cover the array of music I play. I was blown away with this pedal it seems to contain endless possibilities of drive and overdrive. The EQ has amazing range and is very sensitive to adjustments but enables you to pull out endless tonal ranges. The boost is another great feature and can be used to boost on your clean channel. After a few days in my Fender amp I found myself facing the temptation of running the SLOstortion through my beloved Marshall JCM 900. I have always loved the sound of a Marshall running full bore and believed I would use that as my go to sound til the end of time. I added the SLOstortion to the Marshall clean channel and WOW what a sound, I never could have imagined that I would hear such a dramatic tonal change from the Marshall, I was impressed, All I can hope for now is that the friends I jam around with don't try to use my new SLOstortion more than I do.I know it's a bit expensive but I believe if you have the chance to try one out that you may just find a way to save up and buy one. Would recommend this product to anyone in search of new tricks.

    Great Pedal!

I use it on a Marshall Bluesbreaker. That amp has a clean sound basically. Once you turn the pedal on however, it a totally different animal! I use the pedal on the crunch setting only, (it also has an overdrive setting) it thickens up the tone as much as I want, and the boost feature is great on Solos. I'm very happy with the pedal.

    Great pedal

I run this pedal with my Marshall Bluesbreaker Amp, it puts out a very clean signal. After the pedal, the Amp is a COMPLETELY different animal! I LOVE this pedal, you can have drive it, and the Chords are not mushy at all. Very good Sustain, and the boost feature is great when it's time to Solo. It's a little pricey, but to me it's worth it. It gets that Warren Haines, Gary Moore type of sound. I keep it on Crunch all the time, I don't use the Overdrive part of it.

    Magic in a box

I know...I know...another dirt box. But if you've ever owned a Wampler pedal, chances are you own more than one! What I can tell you is this pedal is pure metal magic in a box. It just makes you smile everytime you plug into it. The mid range and sustain within this pedal is un-believable. I've never heard anything like it. I have several amp sims etc... and none of them even come close to producing this sound. It joines many other Wampler pedals in my collection that I wont ever be selling. Very pleased with it. I'd recommend it to anyone looking for overdrive to high gain distortion. It also has a clean boost that can be used independently and works flawlessly to add gain. This along with the 3 band EQ makes it very versatile.

    High Quality

It's been a long search for my perfect overdrive pedal, and I think I've found it. Having played multiple versions of The Rat, DS-1, Fulldrive, OCD, Redwitch Fumulous, Fuzz God, Pale Horse, Tube Screamer, and a whole mess of other pedals, I've finally settled on this one. It's got globs of gain, but it's still transparent. It's a very modern sounding gain, but doesn't sound too "metal" but not too "soft rock", it's right there in between. The bass knob controls what can be described as "speaker kick", which is AWESOME, and the mids are for control of the overall body. I back the highs off a little bit, as I like a darker sound. when I first plugged it in, I felt like I was witnessing something truly amazing, as it sounds like speaker breakup; it sounds like a cranked stack! It's crazy. Paired with my Gibson SG, I can finally make the sounds I have had in my head since I was a kid. Best $250 I've ever spent on a pedal.
