The Nord SL930 keyboard stand increases your space twofold, thanks to its double-tier design. The SL930 quickly adjusts to one of 11 height positions and five angle positions, and its telescoping depth accommodates virtually any size keyboard, controller, drum machine, or module. At Sweetwater, we found that this keyboard stand's folding design makes setup and teardown a snap, and transportation a piece of cake. Rugged but heavy.

This stand is larger than most even when folded. We bought another stand that was more portable. The Nord SL930 sits quietly in our music room. My son uses it to keep from hauling his gig stand home. The carry bag is too lightweight for road use. It has holes in it after a few trips. I put some 1/2 inch floor mat foam in the bag to extend it's life somewhat.

Nice Color - but

I did wait for this stand to become available, the first shipment the knob was broken but Sweetwater is great for customer service and had it picked up and replaced in no time. The second one arrived and I set it up and put my Nord Stage 2 EX 88 on the bottom and my Nektar LX 88 on the top. I noticed two major flaws. The keyboard edges did not line up in the front, most likely a twisted column. The keyboards did not look level so I put a level on the base and the base was level, however the two keyboards were not level at all. The keyboard arms are also a bit wobbly and I'm not sure I trust them to hold a keyboard after I play it as one would play a piano. I would not recommend this stand - stick with the OnStage stands.

Much larger and heavier than it looks

This stand is made by Quiklok and branded by Nord. If you're planning to gig with it, you might want to consider something else. I looked everywhere to find specs on size and weight, but could not find, nor could the sales rep provide. It looks great in the pics, so I decided to order. (I owed an Apex at one time, but didn't like the bar position on the floor because of my pedals.) This thing is HUGE and HEAVY. At its smallest - folded down for transport - it is 5 ft long X 1 ft wide. Unless you're Hercules and drive a cargo van, this is too big to deal with for gigs. There may be issues with the plastic knobs as well because one of the knobs crumbled when I turned it to adjust one of the arms. The crumbling plastic was the nail in the coffin and I had to return. Should not happen on a $200 stand.
