Big Bass From a Small Package

At a svelte 25 lbs., no one can accuse Aguilar's SL 112 bass cabinet of being overweight. Boasting a 12" cast-frame neodymium woofer, a phenolic tweeter, a custom crossover with variable HF control, one Neutrik speakON plus two 1/4" inputs, and 250-watt power handling, this petite cab delivers solid bass and excellent midrange definition. For most club dates, big, heavy cabs are overkill, but the SL 112 is ideal, easily handling monitor/backline duties in smaller venues. Stack two of them with a Tone Hammer 500 for larger gigs.

Light and Responsive

Very light and portable 1-12" cab. Over the past 40 years or so I've tried most everything trending at one time or another. This cab matches anything I have ever used with size and weight to boot. Portability comes with a is a bit pricey but well worth the investment in my estimation. My back thanks me every time I load it up.

Aguilar SL 112x12" Bass Cabinet

This bass cabinet is an incredible cabinet especially paired with the Aguilar Tone Hammer 350 head which I purchased from Sweetwater also. The sound is so clear and round that I can hardly believe that such a compact cabinet with a 12" speaker could have such incredible output. Along with the cabinet and head I use a Fender Jazz Bass MIM. My bass sounds so exquisite and the combo is such a fantastic rig. I would definitely recommend this cabinet. I learned about it from Alberto Rigoni on YouTube he is such fine bass player. I was moved by the fact that each piece [cabinet/head/bass] was so compact but with a sound that was unsurpassed by almost any rig cabinet/head/bass I have played through. Thanks to Sweetwater for offering this cabinet as well as the Tone Hammer 350 head. I am not able to describe the aesthetics or the power of this compact cabinet that deserves a review that encompasses its complexity as well as simplicity. My hats off to Aguilar!

Light Weight AND Tone

When I unpacked my cab I couldn't believe how light it was. Believe me -living on a 4th floor walkup, this is a pure blessing. Plus I can easily bring my own gear to a show negotiatng the subway stairs with a small cart making sure I'll have my tone, instead of an enforced marriage with some shady house gear. I am going to order a second one to bring it really alive.

Tone Heaven

As a 67 year young bass player that began with a B15N and tried everything trending since, I must say I am finally there! Tone Heaven. This cab, the Tone Hammer 350, and my Zoom B3 can do any bass sound you would ever want for recording and jamming. I do not play out anymore, but if I did I would add one more cab and be ready to hit it with the best of them. The price is pretty healthy, but I can say, you get what you pay for! Thanks to Ed Needler for always seeing I am taken care of by the great guys at Sweetwater!

Holy Cow! I was blown away by this amp. I live in a small town and didn't have the opportunity to play it before I bought. I did listen to a lot of videos of it online and read a ton of reviews. I like Aguilar because it was founded in part by a bass player. The first gig I played after it arrived I was so excited because I could carry it with one hand. It's only 25lbs!!!! My Ampeg was 44. I also bought the Tone Hammer 350 to power it. It all sounds so great. Those low notes give me chills
