e825 Capsule Exhibits Excellent Onstage Performance

A top-shelf transmitter for your Sennheiser XSW wireless system, the Sennheiser SKM 825-XSW is outfitted with an e825 capsule. For a great all-around stage mic, you can’t beat the e825. This dynamic mic’s cardioid pickup pattern yields superior feedback and off-axis rejection. Its balanced frequency response exhibits a warm, smooth sound. You’ll also appreciate its resistance to handling noise. The live sound gurus here at Sweetwater frequently recommend Sennheiser’s XSW series for its easy handling, excellent sound, and reliable performance.

Sennheiser — exceptional sound quality and reliability

The Sennheiser name is synonymous with wired and wireless microphones, complete wireless systems, and studio-grade headphones. For example, guitarists worldwide know that the e609 and e906 dynamic microphones sound outstanding with pretty much any guitar amplifier, and their ruggedness makes them perfect for live use. The MD 421 dynamic mic is known by studio engineers to be a flexible solution for vocals, drums, amps and bass cabinets, with high SPL handling and excellent transient response. Onstage, artists know that when they’re handed an e865, e935, e945, or other Sennheiser vocal microphone, they can expect studio-quality reproduction and excellent resistance to feedback. And in the world of wireless microphone systems, Sennheiser’s evolution wireless systems give you the ability to set up many simultaneous wireless channels without interference.

Sennheiser SKM 825-XSW Features:

  • Easy-to-use handheld wireless transmitter for XSW wireless systems
  • e825 capsule exhibits a balanced frequency response with warm, smooth sound
  • Cardioid pickup pattern yields superior feedback and off-axis rejection
  • Provides excellent resistance to handling for a noise-free performance
  • Rugged, sweat-resistant housing

Sennheiser Microphone
We have been ordering our products from Sweetwater for a few years and have been very pleased with everything we have received. This microphone arrived quickly and works great. We have other Sennheiser microphones and they all have that clear sound when using them. Jeff called to make sure we received it and if we had any questions on how to set it up. Sweetwater has been very professional and caring. And they send us a bag of treats (this is the first thing I pull out of the box.) Thank you Sweetwater and Jeff!

This was my first Sennheiser wireless handheld mic purchase and I am seriously disappointed in the quality of this microphone. I heard a lot of people saying Sennheiser produced quality products so I decided to give their wireless microphone a try. I bought this item because it was compatible with the Sennheiser lavalier set I purchased recently which I am very pleased with. The wireless mic on the hand fizzes and crackles like a cheap microphone. The vocals come through with a slight echo so it sounds as if the person is in a bathroom. You will spend a lot time trying to clean up the vocals (I recommend only using this mic if you have a quality mixer). I am a professional DJ with 19 years experience and have used many microphones. I bought this microphone for ceremony use. I would return them but at $149 it"s not worth the hassle. I will keep it as a back up microphone. I have already ordered the GTD audio 733 dual wireless microphone set to replace the 622 I had for 5 years with no problems until the frequency was bought out. I feel at this price point the GTD Audio wireless microphone is the best wireless microphone. I know higher price Sennheiser mics are of better quality because I"ve rented one before but this mic is terrible. Classic case of brand hype.
