Output SIGNAL Pulse Engine Instrument
Delivered In Minutes!

The Pulse Is the Thing

Output created SIGNAL to be "the word's most powerful Pulse Engine." At Sweetwater, we believe they've succeeded. SIGNAL stokes your arsenal with a cutting-edge combination of fat analog synths and beautifully recorded live instruments - all controlled by a fast, intuitive (and great-looking) interface. A seriously fun instrument with seemingly endless options, SIGNAL has the density factor to satisfy tweakers, but it's also clean and simple enough for those who prefer to dive right in. Whether you're a performing musician, composer, producer, or sound designer; it's the pulse that often drives the track. SIGNAL is the pulse.

Output Signal Virtual Software Instrument at a Glance:
  • Tweakers and Preset mavens rejoice
  • Dive into massive content
  • Access to every form of pulse making
  • Fast, intuitive interface
Tweakers and Preset mavens rejoice

In the design of SIGNAL, Output focused on the pulse in the effort to create a virtual instrument that's less about oscillators and more about making music. They left no stone unturned, and the result is a completely funtastic instrument with a vast treasure chest of creative options. So if you want to tweak, it's all here for you. But if you just want awesome results in a hurry, SIGNAL works great for that, too.

Dive into massive content

Output endowed SIGNAL with a massive amount of content, including over 40GB of multi-dynamic and round-robin sources. The engine combines four separate rhythms, all locked to your DAW, and each one controlled individually. Now, these can be different rhythms playing together, or you can combine them into one ginormous monster pulse. Combine warm, fat synthy sounds and gorgeous organic instruments to create something completely new - and totally scintillating.

Access to every form of pulse making

Lift the bonnet, and you'll see that Output SIGNAL combines every form of pulse making you can think of: arpeggiators, LFOs, step sequencers, and a unique looping engine designed specifically for SIGNAL - appropriately dubbed "Looper." All of SIGNAL's patches (Pulse Instruments, as Output refers to them) are organized by tag in the preset menu, so you can quickly find exactly what you're after without spending hours cycling through sounds.

Fast, intuitive interface

In SIGNAL, every Pulse Instrument has its own unique set of central sliders. SIGNAL has four big knobs, and each is built for its particular Pulse Instrument. Adjust the sliders to add your own sonic enhancement and continuous movement, assign it to a physical control for onstage use, or even use Output's custom Lemur or Touch OSC templates and tweak away on your iPad. SIGNAL's sliders are no mere FX sends, they're macros that control multiple parameters simultaneously. For instance, touch a slider, and you can morph rhythms, sweep multiple filters, and control endless effects combinations.

Output Signal Virtual Software Instrument Features:
  • 500 Pulse Instruments for instant playability

EASY to Use!

There are two points to applaud. These days VST Instruments can be a large task to download and learn how to use. This product is EASY to use, and sounds great! There are several on-line tutorials nicely done. This package is also very versatile. Your wildest imaginations can be sourced from aggressive sounds, to peaceful and everything in-between. You can tweak into oblivion!

One of a Kind

I never played a virtual instrument that exceeded my wishful expectations, always let down one way or another, until I played Signal. It's very warm and musical, the sounds and layout are not stuck in past decades, they are fresh off the tree, intriguing to the ears, easy to manipulate. If your going to blow $200 on a VI, seriously consider this.

SIGNAL ushers in a new paradigm

I am indeed "blown away" as is the description of a five star rating at Sweetwater and SIGNAL is only the second product I've bestowed this rating on. I expected quite a lot from SIGNAL from all the hype out there in cyberspace and after a few short hours of experimenting with SIGNAL it has far exceeded those lofty expectations. The quality of the samples are exceptional, the GUI is masterfully done, and the concept is not only ground breaking but extremely useful as well. SIGNAL provides an intuitive and comprehensive tool for all the things that can be done to sounds: combining, arpeggiating, looping, slicing, adding effects, and so on. The magical way that it synchronizes the impulses to the project is awesome, the browsing tools are stellar and the presets are incredible. I really cannot find anything I don't like about it. This product truly raises the bar for all, not just plug-in, music creation tools. Buy it.

Me likey!! Alot!

Nothing out there like it. (Arpology is similar but they are 2 different monsters, well worth having both!!) Really good crisp 64 bit sounds So many pumpin rhythm options Parameter changing out the waaazooooo Cool, easy on the eyes and to navigate GUI 500 categorized presets with unlimited tweak-ability and effecting. 4 pulses at once What more can you want? Nothing except the expansion packs (3) available for $35 each. Love it. This is one of the last pieces I needed in my set up to feel complete in creation tools. Looking for fresh inspiration? Pick it up. I tried the demo (25 presets) and was sold. Check out the vids on youtube or the website about this great innovation from Output. Rev your next!!
