Seymour Duncan Pickups: It's All About the Tone

The '59 Model SH-1 is Seymour Duncan's take on the classic Seth Lover PAF (Patent Applied For) humbucker that was found on the Gibson Les Paul in the late 1950s. The SH-1 sports plain enamel wire, a long-legged bottom plate, vintage-correct single-conductor cable, and the absence of a Seymour Duncan logo. This vintage re-creation sports a slightly more scooped midrange than the Seth Lover model and is vacuum wax potted for squeal-free performance. For flexible tones with vintage flair, the Duncan '59 Model SH-1 is a perfect fit.

Seymour Duncan '59 Model SH-1 Features:
  • Classic Humbucker for neck position
  • Standard spacing
  • Vintage-style sound and design
  • Flexible tonal options
  • Single-conductor wire
  • Plain enamel wire
  • Long-legged bottom plate
  • Vacuum-potted for squeal-free performance
Your tone begins with Seymour Duncan pickups!

Seymour Duncan rules:)

I just put two of these 59's in my epiphone les paul...pure sonic deliciousness! Man, it's a pro rig, couldn't be happier! Thanks again Sweetwater,(ie Nate) for your top rate service, and product line!!!:)

Delivered as Expected, and then some

I was looking for a well-balanced tone for the neck of my Artcore semi-hollow body, so I went with the '59. I was not disappointed. This pickup delivers a full spectrum balanced tone, very clean. Each string is pronounced, and bell clear. I do a variety of tones in my role as Praise/Worship guitarist at the Cowboy Church I attend, and this pickup lets me go from almost acoustic tones, to really great Bluesy tones when needed. Really glad I made this choice.
