Seymour Duncan Pickups: It's All About the Tone

The '59 Model SH-1 is Seymour Duncan's take on the classic Seth Lover PAF (Patent Applied For) humbucker that was found on the Gibson Les Paul in the late 1950s. The SH-1 sports plain enamel wire, a long-legged bottom plate, vintage-correct single-conductor cable, and the absence of a Seymour Duncan logo. This vintage re-creation sports a slightly more scooped midrange than the Seth Lover model and is vacuum wax potted for squeal-free performance. For flexible tones with vintage flair, the Duncan '59 Model SH-1 is a perfect fit.

Great Pickups!! Awesome vintage sound!!

I bought a set of these 59 model 1's (neck / bridge) and installed them into my Epiphone Les Paul. These are incredibly versatile pickups when coupled with 50's style wiring. The clean is very sharp and crisp yet they do maintain a very nice mild warm tone. When you add the distortion they roll on with classic vintage Gibson sound!! Sweetwater also has great pricing as you can buy both the neck and bridge for the same money as just a single / individual 59 style pickup in other brands. Seymour Duncan has always been a name you can trust and I could not be happier with this purchase. Sweetwater was also super fast with shipping as the pickups were in stock... I am very happy with this purchase...
