I replaced the stock BB1 & BB2 in a 58 VOS LP with a set of these and was flat out amazed at the tonal change of that guitar. It wasn't a drastic night and day difference per se, but rather much more of a good thing that already existed in that guitar. The stock pups had good balance and decent note to note definition but didn't quite have the output and warmth that I prefer. The WLH have a much better EQ balance and are not as soft or mushy sounding in the low end like the BBs but instead have more of a tight "knock" to the lower frequencies. Playing the intro to Whole Lotta Love through a Marshall 100 watt plexi proved that these pups do live up to their namesake. From raunchy crunch to bell like cleans with a light compression, these pups are the Ace of spades. Don't be fooled by the term "high output" as these pups are not really that kind of beast. They are considered "vintage hot" but not something like a JB model. I tend to think of them as a set of PAFs after a couple of good belts. I can't imagine anyone being disappointed with these. Try them and you'll hear just about every 70's British rock band from that era.

Tasty Tone Fit For Greatness

I wouldn't call these "high output" like it says above, but rather slightly hotter vintage output. These are my favorite pickups in all the world, and I've had many, many pickups over the years. I've had them in my 2014 Gibson Les Paul Traditional and SGJ for about a year. Wired for push/pull with 500k CTS pots they roll off clean quite nicely. I tend to mostly play rhythm just on the edge breakup through Orange amps. These pickups are very touch sensitive! I play lightly and its like I'm on a clean channel, then dig in for aggressive riffage. Very versatile tones. Seymour Duncan's description is dead on. If you want quality tone, this set is the way to go.

Whole Lotta Fun!

These Whole Lotta Humbuckers I bought are Seriously Tone crazy!I put them into my Ibanez Semi Hollow and was just blown away on how different and awesome my guitar sounds. The best part is now I can use any amp for rehearsals or shows (including my own amp) and enjoy the tone I get out of them. playing with the EQ pots on the amps and I like every setting I try. Just pure tone magic.

Great Pickups

These are great pickups! They are so clear and articulate but not harsh. The b and e strings really sing through these. They also are are very well balanced and sound great together. If you want a pickup that just has that classic sound, get these! I don't play any led zepplin but I love the tones that these pickups can cover. I have gotten so many compliments on my playing after installing these.
