Les Paul Strings - Pure Nickel, Pure Tone!

Gibson strings have been made in the USA since 1907. They use only premium US materials and vacuum pack each package for freshness. Gibson strings are standard equipment on all Gibson guitars and feature proprietary cover to core ratios for great feel and tone, utilize the hex core of Swedish steel for crisp response and sustain, and are Slow wound using Gibson's proprietary Tension Release system for optimum tone. There is a wide array of material for a spectrum of tone, and Gibson ensures consistency through extensive quality control. Gibson strings are amazing!

Gibson Les Paul strings are wound with pure nickel for a smooth, warm tone that delivers a punch when you need it. The Swedish steel hexagonal core wire makes these strings tune-up faster and hold their tuning longer. When you want to get all of the pure tone and response out of your Les Paul, choose the real Les Paul strings.

Discovered how well these strings sound by accident when I asked Sweetwater to set up a Les Paul with them. When I hit the chord right, there's a glass-like resonance that seems to just hang in the air. Particularly noticeable if I'm playing un-amped, they also sound smooth and compressed when amped and cranked. Ebony fretboards seem to bring it out. Have also tried these with single coil and P90 pickups, that tone isn't there as much as with humbuckers, but it's definitely there.

Great Strings!

I love these strings. Great sound and durability. I play them on a Les Paul and an Epiphone Dot. I highly recommend them.

Simply the best sounding strings on my Les Paul

I call them 91/2' s and find they are the perfect balance between low end chunk and high end clarity. The longevity is very good providing you are diligent about wiping down the strings after use. I've gone a couple of months on a set, I am not a very aggressive bender but I have yet to break one of these playing. Now that I have said that I'm sure tomorrow will be the day it happens LOL. When the strings are getting old I do turn up the highs some in the tone pot to get some extra cut on them. The play-ability is excellent. I was skeptical about going with a guitar company's strings but after trying a bunch of others looking for tone and play-ability combination I decided on these. I have been playing them exclusively for about 2 or three years and can't say enough about them. Yes they are a bit pricey, I guess you could buy singles and make them up but this is a convenience that I will pay for.
Music background: Regular player Christian rock two rehearsals and two services weekly.
