I love this guitar!
Where to start? This was my first guitar bought online and i was not disappointed. I arrived faster than i could have ever expected in perfect condition and almost still in tune. The finish (which is a more vibrant blue than it appears in the pics) was absolutely flawless and it was set up nicely out of the box. I play mostly hard rock and metal and this guitar sounds more beastly than i would have imagined thru my live rig. The stock humbuckers sound clear, thick and beefy and i see no reason to replace them. After a very miminal set-up for some heavier gauge strings it has become my favorite axe. In short, i don't think you will get a nicer playing guitar for the money. I will certainly be purchasing another one in the future.
Sweetwater & PRS Raised the bar again
Let me start off by saying AJ always has the best suggestions. When I told him what my plans were he guided me to one solution after another. PRS as expected has outstanding products. The quality is always superb even in the SE line.
This is my 3rd SE and I am again pleasantly surprised. I was on the fence about getting an S2, but the fact is I don't make a living or even an allowance playing music. The SE line is a great guitar there are bands that tour with them what I will use the money I saved on more products from Sweetwater. Sweetwater, AJ and PRS what a great combination!!
PRS = Prodigious Renditions of Sound
Looks great, plays with ease and has a super sound. If I didn't know what it cost I'd say it was a much more expensive guitar. I gave a 4.5 because I would like the push/pull knobs for sound control also.
Sweet Deal!
Ok... where to begin. Lets talk overall performance. The guitar is excellent. No other way around it. Its built with outstanding quality. The headstock, neck, and body are finished with the same color which was much more vibrant than I expected to receive. The neck has the bird inlays which are spectacular. The feel is smooth from head to heel. No string adjustment was needed. It was set up from Sweetwater (hats off to you guys!). The veneer is smoothly finished. No frills such as wood binding. The tone is bar none! Very rich highs and growling lows. It doesn't sound empty or lacking in any way. The only reason I am giving this a lower score is due to the tremolo bar. Turns out it was manufactured to large and wouldn't fit right even when the tension was loosened. That problem was resolved though so no worries. Overall, great guitar, sound purchase, and no regrets. This thing is ready for the studio, road, church, or wherever the music takes you.

The best guitar I've ever owned! It was practically in perfect tune when I received it, the vibrato is floating & stays in perfect tune & the action is great!
