Classic Seymour Duncan humbuckers deliver iconic rock tone

You'll rarely come across a more broadly liked combination of pickups than the duo loaded into this Pro-Mod San Dimas Style 1 HH HT guitar. In fact, at Sweetwater, sticking a Seymour Duncan JB model at the bridge and one of their '59 humbuckers at the neck is a pretty popular mod. Why? Because these pickups come together to give you a wide range of amazing tone. When you rock a Charvel Pro-Mod San Dimas Style 1 HH HT guitar, you'll get the toothy grit you need for riffing plus the fat and smooth lead tones you love.

Charvel 6-saddle adjustable hardtail lets you tweak your action

Charvel's Pro-Mod series guitars rock with the classic Charvel style, which was born in Southern California more than three decades ago. One popular mod included a highly stable hardtail bridge with six independently adjustable saddles. This makes it easy to tweak your action whether you're rocking standard E-to-E, drop D, DADGAD, or anything else you like. What's more, the sustain you'll get thanks to the direct connection with the Pro-Mod San Dimas Style 1 HH HT's alder body is amazing.

Fast, stable, and comfortable neck provides epic playability

Complementing the sonic spank of a 2-piece maple neck with the unshakable support of graphite reinforcement rods, the Pro-Mod San Dimas Style 1 HH HT offers traditional Charvel sound with extreme stability. If your idea of playing out involves cross-country road trips or air travel, then this guitar may be your new best friend. The Pro-Mod San Dimas Style 1 HH HT also offers the extraordinary playability of a compound-radius fretboard, which flattens out from 12" at the nut to 16" at the 12th fret. That makes it ideal for chording and solo runs. Top it off with a hand-rubbed urethane finish and rolled fingerboard edges, and you've got a guitar that's a pure pleasure to play.

Charvel Pro-Mod San Dimas Style 1 HH HT at a Features:
  • An amazing axe that gives you hot-rodded Fender style, Charvel feel, and classic-rock-style humbucker tone
  • Combination of Seymour Duncan JB and '59 humbuckers delivers tried-and-true rock sound
  • Lightweight and resonant alder body adds complex harmonics to your tone

Best ever

I've owned Fender, Gibson, Ibanez, and PRS, but the Charvel Pro-Mode San Dimas is my favorite. It plays very easily and doesn't weigh a ton. For years I wanted a Charvel because some of my favorite players- Jake E Lee, Warren De Martint, use them as well. I waited way too long.
4.5/5

Impressive!

I have almost 30 years of playing experience and I've owned all the "Big Brands", and this could be the second best guitar I've ever owned. My first would be a 92 strat plus, which I used and abused and held up great. This guitar seems to have that potential. The neck feels great in my hands and I love the finish on both the back of the neck and the fingerboard. The tones I've been able to coax out of these pup's has been great. Maybe even more amazing is the convincible single coil sounds this guitar can produce! Maybe it has something to do with the maple neck and string through hard-tail. The construction is solid and the guitar stays in tune well. I will probably change the string tree to graph tech for added tuning stability. Small fix. The hard-tail is super comfortable to rest your hand with no sharp edges. The no load tone knob is also really cool! You may not notice much at first, but when I leave it in the indent position and fire up my gear the next day I'm saying "Who the h*** was messing with my amp volume!" Shout out to Brad Thomsen at Sweetwater for his awesome customer service. The only reason I gave this guitar a 4.5 is because it had small blemish in the finish near the arm contour, which concerns me not. By the way the best bang for the buck guitar I've ever owned was a guitar I bought from Sweetwater. Great guitar for the money.

This Pro-Mod San Dimas Style 1 HH is my got-to "Super Strat." Its humbuckers and switching capabilities provide me with a well-stocked arsenal of tones. I also love how fast and comfortably the neck plays, which makes it more than my "Swiss army knife" guitar.
