Excellent for studio work
I already own a beloved VT Bass Deluxe and which I use both live and in studio. So I had an idea what this one could do. All knobs works exactly the same and the character know provides more low end on the left from clean to dirty, and more mid and gain on the right.
Just got the British for studio work. Doing home studio project and got real good results with this straight to the recording console. Sound is very chunky and much better then any other emulation I have tried. Totally credible.
Character knob at 10 o'clock gives nice clean sound with more bottom and plenty of room with the drive knob to get progressive crunch and drive. I love this for Jazz . At 11 o'clock starts to get nice blues crunch. From 12 and above gives wild crazy Marshall distortion with much more prominent mid.
EQ is way more dramatic then real amps, which is convenient actually.
I love it and I now want to buy a Blonde and a Liverpool. It seems to me they are all the same basic circuit with different tonal options, but they are good enough for me to get many of them. I'd like to get them all on one pedal at some point. I can't wait to try the Liverpool and the Blonde. The other ones are not my MOJO.
Anyway, Andrew Barta has done it once again and I'm so glad he makes these awesome ANALOG devices. Now I need a good spring reverb to go with it.
