This 7-string S Series Ibanez Packs Rock-solid Tone

Ibanez S Series electric guitars have come a long way since the late '80s, but the comfortable bodies and affordable price tags haven't changed. The 7-string S7721PB solidbody electric guitar offers you smooth and fast action that's perfect for modern rock and metal. Its fixed bridge not only provides epic sustain, but your intonation and tuning stability are also rock solid. And if you're looking for a wide range of tone, then you'll get just that from the S7721PB's pair of Quantum humbucking pickups. Top that off with a beautiful poplar burl top, and you've got a gorgeous axe that's built for serious performance!

Ibanez S7721PB Solidbody Electric Guitar at a Glance:
  • A pair of Quantum pickups gives you massive tonal range
  • Fast, comfortable feel and long-term reliability from the Wizard II-7 neck
  • Epic sustain and precise intonation from the fixed bridge design
A pair of Quantum pickups gives you massive tonal range

The dual humbucker configuration has been a longtime favorite among tone-seeking shredders, which led to the duo of killer Quantum 7 pickups loaded in the S7721PB. The ceramic humbucker in the neck position is voiced for warmer, richer tone, while the ceramic bridge humbucker is a brilliant lead pickup: vibrant, yet snarling with an enhanced midrange output when you push it. The 5-way switch gives you both single-coil and humbucking positions for decidedly different tones. Take it from Sweetwater - if you're after maximum tonal tenacity, then the Ibanez S7721PB 7-string guitar will give your amplifier what you need.

Fast, comfortable feel and long-term reliability from the Wizard II-7 neck

One of Ibanez's fastest necks to date, the 3-piece maple Wizard II-7 neck on the S7721PB is an absolute pleasure to play. This slim and super-comfortable neck lets you pull off lighting-fast runs and arpeggios with ease, but it still gives you the substance you need for fretting chords when you need to. From the first time you put your hands on the S7721PB Wizard II-7 neck, you'll know you've got a guitar that was built with performance in mind.

Epic sustain and precise intonation from the fixed bridge design

While shredders often rock out with a vibrato tailpiece, you can't beat the enhanced sustain and tonal impact you get from a fixed-bridge design. The S7721PB's fixed bridge also gives you rock-solid tuning stability and intonation, which you'll appreciate after hours of playing.

Ibanez S7721PB 7-string Solidbody Electric Guitar Features:
  • Fast, comfortable 7-string electric guitar with an aggressive, dynamic voice
  • Maximum sustain and tonal impact from the fixed-bridge design
  • Wide tonal range from ceramic and alnico humbucking pickups with a single-coil in the middle
  • Quantum 7 pickups deliver a wide range of tone for any style of music
  • Perfect for fast, intricate fretwork thanks to the Wizard II-7 neck profile
  • Comfortable to wear and play even during marathon sessions and gigs
You can cover a lot of sonic territory with the Ibanez S7721PB 7-string!

Favorite Instrument I Own

My first 7-string, and good lord does it rule. The neck feels perfect, the balance is spot-on at the 24th fret, and man is this thing light. Great tone out of the box (rigged up right now with a Scarlett 6i6 and Bias FX), INCREDIBLE feel and playability. For the price, this thing feels worth every penny. Of course, I do have a couple of issues. Uniform frets tend to result in detuned notes at higher frets, and the low B seems almost impossible to play perfectly in tune. The pickups are fine, not anything too spectacular, so you might want to consider upgrading at least the neck pickup if this is to be your main axe. I feel this is a solid 4.5. With fanned frets and better electronics, this would be a 5, no question. If you are looking for a great mid-level seven-string, I could not recommend this one to you enough. Full disclosure: I am primarily a drummer, and guitars are not my specialty, so my opinions are purely reflective of a relative guitar newbie.

I like it 2

I just got mine. Seriously this guitar's killer finish, black chrome hardware, smoothness on the knobs and 5 way, the slick neck and btw the PUPS in this are really nice. This is my first NEW Ibanez. I have been a Schecter dude forever (as matter of fact I bought the KM7 Plek'd also with this). I am also coming from a solid run of using only my Ola Solar loaded with BKP Aftermath 7's.I think I like these PUPS as much as the BKP's...I have to say I am impressed with this guitar for what it is- A supposed entry guitar. As an older player I am used to chunkier guitars for most of my life. I have been changing my style more to Progressive Death/Djenty thang& this guitar is perfect being thinner, lighter, fast neck ( I do wish frets were a lil more meaty - my half star minus, but that makes for blazing). The variety of PUP sound I was surprised with also. The bridge is fine also. If you want a spotless guitar you need to pay more. LIke the KM72 for close to twice the amount of this.I even got a lucky finish and the book match created a heart between the two PUPS.THANK U PATRICK SCHAEFER!!!! X 1319

I love it

Mine was perfect out of the box, no need for any changes. The pickups are great stock ones. The neck is amazing as with all ibanez guitars. The poplar burl top looks stunning, I got a really cool pattern. Definitely one of the best midrange 7 string guitars out there.

Not Impressed

Bought one of these and ended up being highly disappointed. The neck feels fine but right away had issues with getting it playable. Came with one of the worst factory set ups Ive dealt with. The bridge on this thing is complete junk. Ibanez should really include a Hipshot 7 bridge at this price. Pickups are ok depending on what amp you use of course. A little muddy but decent for stock pickups. This guitar overall just feels really cheaply made. Schecter guitars have proved to be WAY more bang for your buck..
