Very versatile, jazzy sounding Guitar. Incredibly fast neck.
The Mahogany body and Wizard 3 neck, matched with the infinity pickups make for great sustain and tone, especially clean or with light overdrive. This guitar produces a variety of tones with the 2 humbuckers straddling the single coil in the middle. The ZR bridge is really smooth, although it can be tricky and was a little hard to get used to changing strings, etc. The bridge is very smooth doing dives, and as Ibanez says, it goes right back into position every time. I love the body, its super thin and the guitar is quite well made. The pictures do not do the finish justice, the green is much more vibrant in person. Although it is a bright color, its not overwhelming and I personally love the finish. I'd recommend switching the strings out, as i don't think that the painted strings get as nice a sound as bare metal ones, but they no doubt look very cool. I love playing jazzy, bluesy kind of stuff, but also I dabble around in alot of other genres. This guitar soars on solos, the pickups are very crisp and clear, surprising since these are stock Ibanez pickups. Overall, this is a fabulous, fun guitar and I love the design and versatility of the S series.
