    Outstanding Overdrive

The is the best overall pedal I have owned and believe me I have tried them all personally after 40 years of playing and looking for that perfect sound we all look for, and hauling tons of gear to get it, I now just use a 65 deluxe reverb a 63 champ this pedal a tuner and a electro-harmonix hum eliminattor to fix the ocassional club ac from hell and I am happier than ever with the sound I get. Outstanding choice trust me. Rock on!

    Phenominal Pedal!

In my opinion, the two best pedals out there are made by Visual Sound. They would be this and the Jekyll & Hyde. The compression on this pedal is great and the overdrive CAN NOT be beat. If you plan on playing anything really heavy (punk, thrash, metal), you NEED the Jekyll & Hyde. If you are playing any other rock style, blues, or country; you NEED the the Route 66. Enough said, this pedal is fantastic.

Tied for the best pedal I've ever used.

The overdrive has one of the sweetest tones I've ever played, and the pedal is so versatile. Go from crunching classic rock to scalding blues! You won't be disappointed. I never knew how much I needed a compressor for my clean playing, and when I used it with my Visual Sound Liquid Chorus, I was blown away. Customer service with Visual Sound is great just as it is with Sweetwater. I haven't found a VS pedal I haven't liked!

    Route 66 O/D Com Pedal

The pedal rocks, it gives me the lead sound I want with sustain. The controls are very responsive. Its just what the doctor ordered.
    I play a PRS McCarty and a Fender Super-Sonic.

    This pedal is awesome!

I am a blues guitarist who plays in a country band. I bought this pedal to use for country, but it is also great for the blues. I love having compression and overdrive in the same pedal. Sounds great, I am just getting started with it.

    Thumbs Down

This is the first and last pedal i buy from Visual Sounds. Awful noise. The overdrive is ok but not good enough with the static. The compression is awful. It sounds the same no matter how you adjust the knobs and way too much noise. This was the second one after I returned the first one. The techs suggested I had it plugged into the wrong outlet etc.......... Ive been playing for thirty years and I never had a pedal this bad!
